They were in control of the ball, in the final third they seemed to have as many ideas as we do at home. We need a player like Howson bringing in mind. Does the Smallwood side but can also dictate from deep like Hudds(obviously not as good).

    Matt 'Marmite' Ingram.
Not bad on toast. Also a decent alternative when the brown shoe polish runs out.

Our support was poor because we're a "rugby town" and "football isn't really our game" according to their forum <laugh>

I got some Marmite with chilli. I am not recommending it. Just a heads up.

Don't even try it out of curiosity. You have been warned.

Redolent of the modern trend of ****ing about with absolutely any foodstuff; the vast majority of which should be left well alone.

    Case in point?

    Peanuts.

Salted or dry roasted are acceptable.

Honey, salt n vinegar, spicy, chilli, caramel, paprika, choco n seasalt, cajan and such like are the food of devils.

It's confidence / experience thing for me, I just don't think the young squad can handle the pressure / expectation and the longer it's gone on the more the pressure has mounted etc... We are a play off challenging team away from home and dead cert relegation team at home.

Consistency and experience get you out this league, we have almost none of either ATM unfortunately.

( Just imagine what our team/away form could be turned into with some real experience and quality added in the summer )

Don’t think we’ll be setting up like we do at home after summer either. Teams enjoy coming to us because we are so happy without the ball and have to rely on scoring from 1/2 chances a game. Flawed at home, perfect away.

Was in Heron today. Saw a jar of Chicken Bovril.

Bovril; that former bastion of matchdays (pre-alcohol) which gets it's name partly from the word Bovine. Must be a ****ing big chicken to get mistaken for a cow, is what I was thinking.

Then I remembered the Beef Tomato. It's blinking rife. You can probably even buy a Yak banana or summat. I won't be eating one of them though. Just saying.

I opened a big bag of salted last night. The bag split and said nuts went everywhere.

Would the Missus help me clean them up? No.

Will I be taking her for a Thai this weekend?

    Nope.

Controversial I know, but we did rather well in stadiums without any fans at all <confused>

I agree, if we can get the first goal, as we did against Swansea, then we can go on and can win games at home, but if we concede the first goal, then our confidence drops and we seem to struggle. I think being a young side subconsciously they start to worry about fans reaction and that puts added pressure on them.

Is it Chilli Marmite or it’s hotter friend (no…stop thinking like that!) Fire Marmite?

I won’t be eating either, because although on paper I should like Marmite eating isn’t done on paper (expect in some odd hipster places probably) and so I know it’s ****, but strangely it got discussed this weekend and apparently the Fire one is a big step up in spicy ness

See I don’t mind Marmite, but I can’t get enough of Twiglets, even though they literally taste like sticks dipped in puke.

I like Marmite and I like chilli, but can't see the point of combining them. Similarly, I can't stand chilli chocolate.
