It would appear that Paynters days are overand I for one wish him wellI believe that Brighton have offered KB £250K DOWN PAYMENT AND A FURTHER £250K IN jANUARY so good luck to the lad it will be a releif for him .It also appears from what I have read that our 2 choice keeper is exactly that having cost us 3 points in 3 games we need a better stopper so I expect developements on that front plus Bruce and OBrien to go Billys route soon making way for LICHAJ in JANUARY along with yet another centre back

Not the first time, won't be the last. A lot of managers talk s*** but he takes it to a whole new level.
I intially reacted the same about Rachuba even though it was a Pugh mistake that led to the goal. But last season Grayson brought in 'cover' that was naff (livermore anyone?) and put them in over FT squad members. I think/hope he has learned from this. Saying that, I wouldnt mind westwood on a months loan, but what affects would that have on Chewy as he is our long term cover? As for Paynter, we wont ever see him in a Leeds shirt again. Never been good enough & never will be.
So Paynter's gone on loan to Brighton until 1 Jan. It will be interesting to see how he does. It would also be interesting to see if Brighton already have an option to buy. Hope not, as I still think he can surprise a few & start scoring. Lets hope he does, & particularly against those higher up the league than us. Might just result in some on here having to eat a lot of humble pie. Time will tell & good luck to the lad.
Theres no space in our squad for Paynter even if he does start scoring for Brighton. He has had 24 games for us and scored once. Good for him if he cuts it somewhere else but he wont make it with us and I wouldnt put him above any of the listed below as forward option Becchio Forssell Somma Mccormack Keogh Or even Nunez Howson Snoddy in the supporting role in a 451. Bye Billy, nothing personal & I wish you all the best
Can I just add theres been plenty of crap strikers that have scored against us, doesnt mean there good enough to play for us. Paynter has single handedly proven that & if he scores past us AGAIN its no big deal. We tried him, he didnt work out & we should have gone for Charlie Austin & splashed the cash instead of going for the cheaper option.
No I'm not using a crystal ball but I felt he was not good enough or had the bottle for our supporters who are great at spotting a nervous player . He will not have to worry now as he will be paid up and shown the door .I hope for his sake he gets over it but I so0mehow doubt it
