I did give him credit for that. I can't knock the guys commitment and effort. The lads playing out of position and he is struggling. Maybe he can be better playing wider but he won't dislodge Harrison or Raphinha on current form and Summerville is forcing his way through too.
Marsch said yesterday he has been unlucky with team selection regarding Gelhardt. Was going to start the last 3 games but a back tweak, then a false covid test and now a dead leg from Monday night. So maybe the next match then? And that would mean James on the bench or replacing Raphinha or Harrison
Rodrigo has just posted this tonight on his instagram account with the caption "What a pleasure to play with those guys"
I think Everton and Burnley will finish around 34 points. A couple more points needed I reckon. I don't see Southampton getting any points and they are on 36. Brentford aren't clear yet. Newcastle have easier fixtures.
He does put a lot of effort in and today fought for the ball for raph to score. Must be a nightmare to play against and if we had a proper midfield to feed him then i think he would look better. Really does need to work on his close control though.
Burnley vs Norwich West Ham Southampton Wolves There are points there for them, all to be played before we play again, we could be under pressure which really doesn't seem fair. I guess on the other hand if they only manage three points the pressure is eased as they will have played a game more and be 6 behind Southampton lost heavy today, they have the worst form, only one point (against us) in the last 6 games so a defeat to Burnley is very possible and they would be dragged right in. It is going to be a very frustrating couple of weeks whilst we watch what others do, still can't get over Everton winning today
Shaks at halftime the Watford fans were saying it was just a matter of how many Leeds win by, and that Leeds were sharper, quicker, and the movement was slick. No mention of the woeful passing - they must have lower standards than us I personally thought the second half could go either way, knowing what we’re like. Just a word on Llorente. Yes he was poor and dithered a lot in the first half but I was in line with the Leeds defence in the second half, and he intercepted and cleared everything, so he deserves credit for that. Also Raphinha removed any doubts that he’s not interested as he worked his nuts off. Our away support needless to say were awesome. As for Watford’s they must be the mildest lot I’ve ever sat with. No passion, and soulless. They deserve to go down.
