The OP on this thread wasn't very happy on Thursday, wonder what he's thinking today? https://wfcforums.com/index.php?threads/watford-fc-0-leeds-united-3-09-04-2022.59251/
Pile of rubbish eh..... I live in Leeds and have done for 30 years,,,,, great city... great multicultural community and surrounded by some of the best countryside
The comments underneath are as bad For example: If the guy who wrote that is 'bright' , gawd help the rest of them!
The whole match was championship at best. Very little quality on show and very few players from either side EPL class.
Following the game the play didn't seem the best, but the first and third goals were decent finishes.
I think today's performance showed why only Norwich are below Leeds and Watford for their passing accuracy. We had that bit more quality than Watford today in front of goal, not that we deserved three goals
Yes - agree there. Least you had some shots. If the accounts are right anything that moves and worth something might be off. Mind you hope no-one was watching Sarr/Dennis today. Pedro did well I think.
Glad I decided to spend my afternoon in the greenhouse with odd bits of commentary on talksport. At east I had a productive afternoon.
I agree, how many times did possession change?! I must say that I thought the Leeds’ fans quietening themselves to help pay tribute to Bill Shipwright was a classy response. Thank you.
Funny I thought Joao was a bit ineffective today. Anyway, I thought Louza’s fight was one of the very few positives today. I usually stay behind to clap the players, whatever the score, but I don’t think they deserved much today.
In that case I can see history repeating itself and us starting next season with 13 loan players from Udinese. Not sure about the head coach though... Pedro wasn't too bad - but I think Leeds had done their homework on him and shut him down quite successfully. I wonder if Yasser Asprilla will be here next season - or will he be sold at a huge profit before we see him, just to help with the finances?
I have thought for a long time that many of our problems stem from midfield where we have tried to make do with some Championship quality players at best. I was watching Sissoko and Kucka where I believe we are seeing problems. You cannot accuse either of them of not trying, but the number of misplaced passes from both of them was dire. Both of them are past their best as age takes over, says he, but I really do think that their days of playing top level football are over.
Probably depend on if he wants to come and play in the Championship. The new coach will just get given a load of players and told to get on with it. The Pozzos have no idea who to appoint but probably be a random guy or someone out of a job.
3-0 was harsh but it was so can we really complain. That is the problem. We might have looked better in his eyes but still lost badly with no real shots on goal .
