    The relief…

That wasn’t pretty but hopefully the players will take a lot away from that. Unbeaten in four games and our first clean sheet in I can’t remember how long.

Need Norwich to do us a huge favour now.

Meslier - 7. Not much to do in truth. Two really solid saves when the liner forgot to put his flag up, an important hand to a free kick first half. Kicking was hit and miss.

Ayling - 6. Good in the air. Gave the ball away too often and was turned too easily. Score bumped due to his vital leadership.

Llorente - 5. Gives me heart attacks. Too many stupid fouls, too many risky plays. A clean sheet is a clean sheet.

Cooper - 8. Excellent leadership. Solid defending, good on the ball. Committed.

Dallas - 5. All action display but overcommitted too often. Another guilty of giving possession away cheaply.

Klich - 6. Battled well but often came second best. Can't fault the effort but another sloppy in possession.

Koch - 5. Not a midfielder. Only carried a nuisance value at best. Game was too quick for him.

Rodrigo - 7. Dreadful first half, absolutely woeful. Started to influence the game increasingly as the second half wore on and deservedly got a little luck to get his goal. Fantastic last 20 minutes.

Raphinha - 8. Has the talent, needs a brain. Great first goal but too often, for a player of his talent, his decisions or execution were way off. Still looked very dangerous throughout.

Harrison - 7. Great finish, a few great crosses but nobody there. However, we can't ignore the constant wasting of possession in the first 60 minutes.

James - 5. Great running setup the opener but we really need a forward this summer. He is hopelessly lost up there.

    Subs.

Greenwood - 7. An assist, nearly two assists. Improving with every appearance.

Phillips - 6. Did nothing special. Nearly scored but noticeably improved the team when he came on. Seems to inspire confidence to those around him.

Summerville - n/a. Not on for long but looked full of confidence and looked a handful against a tired defence. Want to see more of him in this form.

    Afternoon all.
Phew! What a relief that was.
Watford are extremely poor, nearly as bad as Manure.
    Hopefully we're safe now

Great stuff from all the lads today.

Magnificent endeavour when it would have been easy to wilt under the heavy second half pressure. You can say what you like about our team but you can't criticise their heart and commitment.

It was discussed on here but our passing is still appalling, I'm not sure whether they always actually look up. We really struggle to find a team mate and we were constantly being caught in possession.

    Not safe yet blono.

All we can do though is keep picking up points and see where it takes us <ok>

Haven’t seen it, but seemingly we were sh*t and won 3-0.

Guess we must have done something right.

So far, except Villa, every team we’ve played have been sh*t. Now granted we’ve played largely lower half teams but maybe we’re proving difficult to play well against and making them look sh*t.

    A clean sheet :1980_boogie_down:
Can we all now agree that Liam Cooper is an integral part of our defence?

we’re not safe. But we’re a hell of a lot safer than we were 3 hours ago. We’ve got no game for two weeks and then a really tough run of fixtures but we’ve created a handy points buffer…

… will be sleeping easier tonight.

That's what happens when you convert a good % of chances to goals.

We were sloppy for an hour without really giving too many chances away so credit goes to the defending. We do look far more harder to break down than under Bielsa. When you keep it tight at the back it keeps you in the game. They threw everything at us after half time but we stood firm. When they ran out of ideas we pounced and it turned out to be an extremely professional away performance.
