Yeah he can’t even get a game for the 19th placed team. At the end of the day Acun is speaking like a fan when he says that, there’s a recruitment team in place to do it that’s just what he feels would be the best fit for us and that’s promising to hear as it is what we miss.
Well maybe, but I'm just thinking pragmatically. We want an experienced Championship striker, who has a decent goal scoring record, a bit of pace and a bit about them, Wells fits that and wouldn't break the bank. Charlie Austin is another option from QPR, but I'm beginning to think he's losing his touch. Acun wants to spend big on a striker, but as another, cheaper option to also come in, I'm struggling to think of anybody better.
Dwight Gayle will be moved on in summer I imagine but as howden said earlier every man and his dog would want him in the championship.
I think our best bet is bringing in someone of a Nakhi Wells type along with a top premier league youngster on loan. My picks from what I’ve watched would be, Sam Greenwood (white ****e), Charlie McNeil (United) or Liam Delap at Man City. Not that anyone cares
Yeah that's a good shout as well. If we're going to spend big, don't see why we wouldn't try and tempt Adam Armstrong from Southampton. First season hasn't gone well for him, Southampton won't want to wait for him to come good and have the money to just instantly replace him.
Not sure Man City would let Delap go, but yeah I like him. McAtee has 18 goals in 21 games for their stiffs as well, younger brother of the current GY striker.
Sonny Perkins is another id look at but I imagine West Ham would maybe try use it as a softener to get KLP. There is a hell of a lot of talent in the “premier league 2” that’s benefitting a lot of sides at the minute at this level.
Probably, He did say he worked for Humberside when Burnys was still an accountant there and it was he who persuaded DB to commentate on a couple of Grimsby games.
250 with a plus 1 getting flown end of June presuming for the pre season games. 5 star all inclusive in Antalya
Whilst I'm not sure that a combined Hull FC/Hull City pass is a great selling point - I do think there is something in both clubs working together in some way to increase attendances across the board in the stadium. It does feel odd getting a discount because you are a fan of both though. It was really nice to hear from Acun last night, who seemed both ambitious and realistic at the same time. I liked the fact he asked questions and seemed to want to learn about the club and the area as the night went on. I love his enthusiasm and his rawness when it comes to the club, he doesn't pretend to know it all but wants to. I think we as a fanbase definitely need to show some passion back.
Acun is certainly a breath of fresh air, he just gets what being a supporter is, as he is one himself. I'm looking forward to seeing what sort of team will be put together for next season, as he obviously has the ambition to succeed.
Acun has just bought a football team at a very expensive time to do it. Why the **** would he want to get involved with Hull FC when they are losing cash. He is a football man. Rugby should never have been brought up last night. It’s like an Albatross around the neck of City.
Was all a bit amateur last night tbh. Palmer looked like he'd slept in his suit and was a bit of a ****er with his explanation of rugby league in the city. Acun spoke passionately about the club and his plans but the audience was made up of 90% West stand flaskers who showed little enthusiasm and didn't create much of an atmosphere. Acun wants a new club song and suggested The Only way is Up by Yazz. Not for for me mate.
Rugby League have always thought themselves superior to football. Refusing to alter their egg off time on May 17th 2014 because the one true derby (Gateshead v HKR) clashed with our FACup semi is a prime example. They don’t need football’s help or HCAFC’s help. Their choice. FC Gateshead Sharky Bites (or whatever they are called this week) should be told to go **** themselves if they desire cheaper ticket deals off the back of us & our new owner.
Cannot help thinking that the footballing knowledge walked out of that room last night before Acun's mini bus even arrived, when Nick Barmby left.
