Hopefully just click bait. I did tweet Amit and asked him not to! Mitrovic valued at roughly £18.5m and Dykes at roughly £3.1m. Surely that's all you need to know about today and then erase from the memory banks?!
Other thing we need to know about today was that it wasn't a penalty. We are not getting the roll if the dice either
Your deluded Beth if you think the result hinged on that one decision. Its been atrocious for a long time, performances have been poor to dire and now the results have been bad too.
Like I said on the Matchday thread, I posted a list of possible replacements a few weeks ago. I'd love a young foreign coach preferably the one at River Plate but that ain't gonna happen. There are a good few young managers plying their trade in League 1 or League 2, I wouldn't mind seeing the guy at MK Don's given a chance or the Forest Green guy. We have to give it to someone with bright ideas and some actual coaching talent along the lines of Cooper at Forest. It's pointless giving it to Eustace , would just be the same as now. I would've waited till end of season though cos I don't think anyone could shake us out of our malaise at this moment in time.
Since we've not woken to the news that MW has been sacked, I would think he's here for a bit longer? On the other hand, still 21 points to play for. Must be a tough call for The Board.
Just caught up with this Is there any truth in this story? Would seem the worst time to make a change
There is an MP called Warburton been suspended overnight for drugs etc….. I expect this is a mix up of Warburtons - nothing on QPR site.
With the next game on Tuesday, the Board will have to act quickly or not at all, so we won't have long to wait. Personally, with our injury problems, I doubt even Sir Alex Ferguson could take us up this year, but the Premier rewards are such, the Board may decide to throw the dice even with poor odds.
I am not deluded...Reborn read my two posts please. I said we played better than against Peterborough...we did, not sure it was possible to play worse. I said Fulham were quicker faster and more decisive. But it was not a penalty, and the ref leant towards Fulham. He did. He was weak. I never said it changed the game. It didn't on the way we were playingin the previous 75 minutes....but at 1 nil possibilities are open...( like forest got out of nowhere earlier in season when we dominated only to draw 2-2). We deserved to lose..but that was not a penalty...and it knocked the chance of any fight back out of the players. I am not deluded ...you are so down on the team you cannot recognise facts
This board seems to have moved away from rash knee-jerk decisions. They seem to be relatively content with a slow measured approach and getting the foundations of the club secure again. I would be very surprised to see MW go any time soon. I think we will continue to build by buying low and selling ‘high’ while hoping we can make better our team and league position through small measured improvement each season.
Fact is Beth we've been so poor for so long that I've had enough of Warburtons excuses and constant changing of the team yet still picking players who haven't delivered for most of the season. I appreciate what he's done while he's been here but I've always thought he's a limited manager and if we want to get promoted any time soon we have to move on and appoint a new man with more tactical nous and brighter ideas. I'm hopeful we find the right person, there are a few I wouldn't mind coming in although I doubt the board will pick one of them. Apparently the board had a meeting about Warburtons future after the Peterborough loss so its not a knee jerk reaction !
Warburton was asked to improve the club each season. If we continue this form. He won't this year. That is when to take action... But we do not know what is going on behind the scene. Was there a falling out about the January? That may or may not be at the back of this
Serves no purpose to sack him, we're not going to beat any of the 'contenders' over two legs even if by some miracle we do scrape into the play-offs. We just need to turn round the nosedive we've entered which seems to be as much about some of the inexplicable chopping and changing which has totally drained the confidence of the team. We also don't know whether the poor recruitment during the window was down to MW or the board, I get the feeling he may have been overruled on certain options and whether he or Sir Les were actually making decisions...
Yep, as much as we have been poor of late, with some really bad loses to bottom of the table teams, we are still above where most of us thought we would be come this time of year. Warburton is working with virtually nil budget and we are basically a selling club, so in truth, he’s doing better than ok. For me, it’s the hierarchy that are not performing to the desired standard. Can’t see anyone else getting better results tbh. My only concern is that he hasn’t lost the dressing room.
Can't agree with that Dids, you honestly don't think Cooper or Wilder wouldn't be getting better results ? They both took over clubs that were playing **** and look at the results they've achieved. I want to look long term and bring in a manager who can take us up and keep us up, someone like Frank at Brentford. Warburtons tactical nous is very low and he seems obsessed with certain things and won't change them. I would've waited till the end of the season but if he goes now I just hope they have the right replacement in mind !
He should be sacked for the one decision yesterday to leave out our best defender against Mitrovic. Clueless.
