I know it’s not real, and I’m too old for it, and it’s silly. But sometimes FM22 can be deeply cathartic.
He certainly has been playing well this season and now he is 30 really is last chance saloon in terms of a “big” move. Doubt a really top club would want him, be interesting to see if there is any real offers coming in from better sides than us. Newcastle or Villa an option possibly
Looks like Ralph won’t be here after May after all. https://tinyurl.com/4at3wx2w Shame but I hope the owners know what they are doing.
Yeah worded that poorly. I don’t think many/any better sides than us will want a 30 year old Romeu. Newcastle and Villa currently are slightly worse/about the same/slightly better than us depending on your view. But they do appear to be throwing money to improve and Romeu would be a good signing for them to help move onto the next level, they are the sort of team I could see coming in for him with a decent enough offer for him to go.
I’ll admit I initially arched an eyebrow and then rolled my eyes at your initial comment. But I quickly realised this is what you meant. They are in and around us with much bigger budgets (the Villa one is a real mystery - I know they sold Grealish but it still doesn’t explain Coutinho and then Suarez links) And Newcastle have an almost limitless upside and Villa certainly seem to have more than one Romeu seems to be on something like 65k a week here. Even if those sides won’t offer him much more they will probably be more casual about offering a longer deal. 65k-70k for four years is nothing to Newcastle now when there is no way we will be offering Romeu four years (just a hypothetical example) And of course Villa have actually been linked with him in the press The interesting thing is we were looking to bring in Sangare (now of PSV) and we were blocked by work permit issues (I believe Brexit related but not certain). He is now probably outside of our budget but definitely in the budget of the likes of Newcastle and Villa I know he is untested in the league but that seems to be the option here unless you are deliberately penny pinching
If and when he leaves it’s going too be emotional (I’m hoping Mrs S isn’t viewing this thread!) But it clearly fits our model to be replacing him now/soon, we just need to choose well
Bastard. I forgot the date. I hope Mrs No7 beats you at pinch punch for the rest of your effing life.
"Southampton's convincing 8-0 victory" 8-0 and I bet people were still looking nervously at the clock with 10 minutes to go.
Gazzaniga - quick reflexes and agile Van Dijk - operate anywhere on the pitch JWP - 5-aside scrapper, good engine S. Armstrong - creative link up, hard to tackle Broja - quick strong and good finisher
