I have an annual bet with one of my friends about who will finish higher Saints or Leeds. Last season I was gloating like you would to your friends around Xmas/Jan as we were something like 14 points clear, only for us to turn into the ****test team on earth for the second half of the season and Leeds finish comfortably above us. I was then duly rinsed by everybody who knew about the bet and how **** Saints are

This season 3/4 weeks ago he came to me asking to review the bet. He wanted to up the stakes on it but I had to give him 3/1 odds. We were 12 points ahead at that moment in time with roughly 10 games left on a march towards Europe. Leeds were utter ****e and getting relegated so I gladly accepted. If they beat us on Saturday then they will only be 3 points behind with still a reason to try in games, where as we are full on flip flop mode

    Leeds 3 Saints 1

Magic, you need to involve @thereisonlyoneno7 in this bet, as he always (well, nearly always) puts a bet on Saints to lose to whichever team we are playing. That way, if, sorry, when Saints win comfortably, 3-0, you can feel good about your decision to support Saints, and offer to donate a portion of your winnings to the ever-increasing hole in TIOON7's betting account. Alternatively, if the unthinkable happens, TIOON7 can sub you, to reduce the pain of losing, and paying your friend.

(Taken from the 'rob Peter to pay Paul' book of economic theory)

Biggest difference will be having Kalvin Phillips back. He and Liam Cooper have missed most of the season (both hamstring injuries), but having trained hard over the International break, both may start. Raphinha too has overcome Covid and should start.

Bamford is out for the rest of the season with a foot injury though, and even though he's been carrying the injury for 12 months, Radrizzani did not feel that Leeds needed a second goal scoring striker. Gelhardt has a massive future, but Leeds are being very conservative when they use him, plus he's carrying a back injury at the moment.

After our recent run of poor form No.7; l would be happy with a point.

Leeds are the type of team that we can come unstuck against.
I can see us dominating midfield and playing in their half, not taking our chances then getting hit on the break, which is probably their strength.
A point would be a decent result.

I'd settle for a point, because, all things considered, I'm ******* fed up with losing.

    Jessie Marsch
"In 2016-17 in the winter Ralph was kind enough to allow me to join his staff for six or seven weeks," said the Leeds boss.

"He is an incredible human being. That is the first thing that needs to be said.

"He is a really good person that cares about the environments he creates. Then he is a sharp, intelligent manager. He believes in a lot of the same principles as me. I learned a lot from that time I spent with him. It may help me prepare now, but i look back on it as helpful and special time."

You’ve lost me, but I think the gist of what you're saying is that you owe me a tenner

And if so I’d like us to gain a point not lose two as they’d only start talking about how many points we’ve lost again and again etc

God help the teams in his final match, as he creates a situation that makes him the centre of attention. Especially if the result is important to a team staying up.

Fair enough. There's a cheque in the post. It's not for you, but that's a minor irrelevance.

They certainly are taking the piss, Anthony Taylor was ****e in what I think was the last time he reffed us (Spurs at home?).
These two have the makings of a dream team.

Leeds have gained momentum at exactly the same time that we have lost ours. Saints never play well after an international break. Leeds have a couple of key players back. Therefore there can only be one result - a Saints win of course, 1-2!
