GEROLAMO CORDANO 7/1 Newton Abbot 1:55
Ran a nice race at Leicester last time when second and is eased a grade here off the same mark. The conditional has partnered him the last twice and takes off a handy looking 6lbs. He will take a lot of beating tomorrow and in my book is certain to go off shorter.

Covid isolation in the Peak District sunshine so trying to build up some enthusiasm for racing after an enjoyable Cheltenham. Only one bet today and that’s an unpredictable grade 4 at Musselburgh2:55. Return Fire appeared to be running on into third last time with a lot of tired horses around him. Takes on the horse that came second in that race and hopefully in with a chance. Down to 6/1

You know, Stick, I don't know what you think, but I have always found certain racecourses to be "a law unto themselves". A few examples would be Newton Abbot (very much so), Fakenham, Fontwell (the figure-of-eight Chase track), Plumpton, to name but a few.. The 'border' tracks way up north might also be in this category, but, being from the deep south, I have never had the chance to visit any of them.

Looking forward to tomorrow's racing which includes the good old Lincoln. Favourites often do very well in this race, so I will bet taking a good look at the Haggas runner. What is your opinion on the draw tomorrow, low, high, middle, or is of no consequence? Haggas runner is drawn low on the far side, damned if I know if that's good or bad?

Couldn’t agree more regarding tracks mate. I would throw in Carmel as well off the top of my head.

I reckon it’s more about where the pace is for the Lincoln. You want your horse to be tracking the speed. That really should favour the low numbers tomorrow which is good news for favourite backers.
Historically the 1 stall has a great record and those in the middle between 12 and 16.
