Away from the human rights stuff I'm quite interested to see how they cope with the logistics of it. Think they aim to have somewhere around 120k beds including the tent camps in the desert. Is that going to be enough? Even with reduced amounts travelling? Seems a bit of a stretch to me although many will base themselves outside and fly in on game day. Also the fact the majority of the stadiums are in Doha will mean large amounts of mixing of fans which you don't see elsewhere to the same extent. Is the public transport in Doha good enough to cope with that? There's only 40 miles between all 8 grounds ffs. There will also surely be trouble and it'll be interesting to see how it's dealt with, particularly given the groups of fans are bound to cross paths again.
Where's the poll option for "Pretend I'm not watching it and that I'm taking the high road, but secretly I am watching it" / Won't be watching anyway... It's on Fox Sports here and I don't get Fox Sports.
This just sums up the massive hypocrisy within football. Everyone interested just turns a blind eye to all the sleaze and ridiculous ****e that goes with modern day football. If these players gave a ****, they wouldn't go. If the FA gave a ****, they wouldn't go. If supporters gave a ****, they won't watch. None of that will happen though, they're all just massive ****ing hypocrites. I'm not that bothered by England, so can just turn off, or not even turn on, won't be a problem. Afraid my eye might be draw to a high quality game between decent non England countries though. Not much else going on in November and December tbh. The only thing truly interests me in top class football is Manchester United. Not the players, not the money making machine, just the 'entity'. I'm not interested in any of the other ****, or any other team or club in the premier league whatsoever. I do enjoy watching Championship football, which is relatively unsullied.
might lie and say I’m not watching but really be watching haven’t decided yet Voted ‘No’ to cover all bases
Lets be clear, I have no problem with the players and FA's who have just shut the **** up and are going to play in the tournament. And I have no problem with people speaking out against Qatar who are boycotting the world cup. But its the ones who are talking **** and dissing Qatar but will turn up on match day bright eyed and bushy tailed ready to play/watch. A moral stance means **** all when your paycheck is at stake doesnt it Harry Kane? Same with Van Gaal, "This bullshit is ridiculous, its all about money" but he will still turn up with the dutch team on match day ready to play ****ing hypocrites.
I'm going to go full 'P&O job losses brb' on this and say if you didn't give a **** watching your club playing clubs in Israel in European competitions then calling out Qatar is nothing more than being manipulated by media hypocrisy. https://www.savethechildren.org.uk/...ls----palestinian-children-suffer-inhumane-tr I voted no btw.
In protest, I didn't watch the Wales game last night, so missed Bale single-handedly destroy Austria, while some other guy called James played, but was a useless twat, so I'm told.
Not watching the World Cup in Qatar due to human rights issues but yeh cool these things don’t exist when we watch PL football week in week out full of corrupt individuals with blood on their hands because they help promote the beautiful game personally I cannot wait for the World Cup because last I checked Qatar was part of the World and it will make a nice change to not ‘soak’ in the atmosphere of a major football tournament by having to watch a load of pissed up ****s singing the same **** songs we always here whilst trying to grope a local female copper and Bantz with the local Cafe owner by chucking his chairs all over the place all in the name of football. Since Qatar is part of the World and football is played there I can’t wait to see what vibes and colours they bring to the scene, interesting weather, new atmosphere…world tournament. half of you ****s have been to or aspire to go to Dubai…like they built all that buy being nice to all the workers….****ing ****ers the lot of y P.S P.S looking forward to some tasty Arab Policing.
