Less than London but we're close enough that it's still pure robbery compared to most of the country - I pay £750 for a 2 bed ground floor flat with no central heating (which I'm bringing up next month).

Admittedly I'm in a decent area but I doubt you'd get a 2 bed for anything less than 600 p/m in Soton, and that would be an old house convert in crackhead central. Even a room in a shared house will be 450-500.

It's why I've no plans to ever buy, down here at least. Not worth it.

Cornwall's even worse, on account of it being a place loads of people now want to move to, and a lack of housing.

My place is a 2 bed terraced cottage and they are up for around £1000pcm rent, not including bills.

Low wage area too, with loads of landlords kicking families out so that they can rent their houses out as holiday lets in the summer for £1500 per week !

I really feel for young families down here, they've got no chance of ever being able to buy their own house.

I've just checked and it's actually gone up it seems. Just seen a 2 bed flat on one of the biggest council estates in the city up for £875 <laugh>

Think I'd rather live in a Transit.

Got no energy today, patio doors open, letting in the morning breeze, camped up on the sofa with my morning coffee and fruit bread, mañana.

Assuming it's a bog standard cheap greenhouse glass the replacement panes are not normally too much, but if it's posh greenhouse or curved or vented pane, expect to get ripped off. I can't remember how much I used to pay, but I'm sure it was no more than £15, probably a lot less. Although I wouldn't charge you bro, shhite happens.

Cheap glass that, can see by the way it's broken, looks a large panel though from the photo. If it was me, I'd take a panel out from the bottom by the fence, to replace temp on the roof, but that's me. Local glazier shop should be able to cut one of those to size, a few clips later it will be back in place.

Don't know why, but I've got this funny image in my head, of Victor Mildrew coming home and seeing his broken greenhouse.

I definitely feel blessed living up here when it comes to housing.

I would get a 4 bed house for £750 a month around these parts.

I think in your job it would be possible to relocate? Its the little one, though, isn't it.
