This has been a great cup tie and yes, City probably deserve the win. But all I ask from Saints is to put in a good effort and not to ever give in. I think they've done pretty well today and the last two goals were just oozing class. Watching fans leave at 80 minutes is the most embarrassing thing you will ever see at a football game.
Ultimately can't afford to give away two easy goals to a team like City like Jack and Salisu did today and expect to get anything Could have possibly been different if we had a PL quality striker on the pitch in the first half and got ourself a lead to defend. Belief went as soon as the pen went in too.
It’s been a good performance but we have been punished in each half as a result of not taking chances, then conceding within minutes. Adarma hits the post, they score straight after. Che hits the keeper when he possibly should have done better, we concede the third almost immediately. It’s in our DNA I think
We had our chances, they have world beaters up top......we don't. Not as bad a performance as the dvore suggests but we do make harder work of the simpler situations.
Maybe, but the game plan was obviously to let them run their socks off (which they did) and bring on Adams and Broja. One moment of madness from Salisu ruined the game plan.
