The substitutions were baffling and as you say, he's almost certainly lost a lot of the dressing room with his tinkering and general twatishness.
Austin was a huge disappointment. I thought we needed him alongside Gray to convert crosses, but there werent many decent crosses and the one half chance he got he blazed wide. Thomas was as usual totally inept. Hendrick did ok, set up Thomas with a nice back heel which Thomas blazed high and wide, and had a glancing header not far off. Moses is far quicker, a better crosser and defender than MaCallum, why didn't he play?. Same with Barbet, far better than Sanderson or Dickie these days. Amos took his goal well and pressed well, but both he and Dozzell seemed to be tiring early 2nd half. Chair seems to get more and more ineffectual. Really hope Willock, Dykes, Dieng, and Johansen are fit and ready to come back and play early April, especially Willock and Stefan, or our season is over.
Speaking of Forest. What a job Cooper has done for them. From bottom of the league to games in hand for 3rd spot, currently holding liverpool in the FA Cup.
Random gripes from a thoroughly cheesed off season ticket holder: MW has done a good job working with limited resources but we have reached an uncomfortable plateau under him. The complete inability to get the team to change gear when things aren't going to plan is costing us game after game. It won't upset me if I never see the gormless Sanderson play again. Chair has become way too casual since returning from ACON. Hugely disappointed in him. We've gone from being a young, hungry, attractive team to an aging, over cautious, boring one. Why?
I do like to be optimistic too but the fact is were nowhere near being good enough.punched well above our weight and the squad is very lightweight on quality,so I'm reasonably happy with this seasons position, given the meagre resources parameter that we've had at hand..yes I'm a little disappointed we didn't take full advantage of some of the matches that were there for the taking ,but at least we haven't had to endure a relegation battle.
any team punching above their weight (whatever that actually means) should be beating the cannon fodder at the bottom of the table
Watched opening half hour before going out. After being on top early on we started getting sloppy with too many passes going astray, I thought after they hit the bar that should have been a wake up call but I never expected to see we'd lost 3-1. Up to then they had looked just what they are, a bottom of the league side with a wide open defence, how the f*ck did we lose that game? Really, we've totally lost it since they did us in the Cup. No point in hoping we turn this round, we don't deserve a play-off place after being in pole position to go 2nd at one point we've lost the plot. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't finish in the top half now...
Just woke up to see the score. I rarely say we are sh1t in public, but we are sh1t. Losing twice to a team who haven’t won in 16 highlights how far we have fallen.
Too fecking depressed to post anything of relevance......... Was out golfing this afternoon and couldn't believe what i was reading from our Whatsapp group........ It's Swindon Town all over again...... those of a certain age will know what I mean....... Feck sake Rangers, how to blow a huge opportunity of at least a Play Off spot.........
BTW, if Putin decides he's going to nuke us give him the Co-ordinates for Peterborough, I've had enough of the c*nts...
One could be forgiven for thinking that the Board, armed with the lofty league position at the end of January, and the very real prospect of promotion and all the financial commitment that comes with that, on top of the financial requirements of the new training facility, and having taken into account the week in, week out pasting this team will suffer in the Premier League, sat Mr Warburton down and ‘suggested’ that he conducted a series of ‘experiments’ for the remainder of the season. One could be forgiven.
Everybody says we are going to loose our best players... Who would buy Dickie or Chair at this moment. Dykes will spend half a season out injured. Willock is now showing signs of being injury prone. ...again his form is in and out...is a big team going to buy him? Dieng, Willock, Dykes are not in the window, for prospective buyers to see. Chair is so inconsistent for a team higher than us. Dunne has had one good season, Field half a good season. Dykes has had a couple of ok games for Scotland We are not going to be stripped in the summer....I said before if Spam came for Dickie or a Belgium team for Chair...I would take the money ( and use some of the money to convince Barbet to stay,)
