The debt write-off will be a credit (income) to the profit and loss account of Chelsea FC and there is nothing from a company law / financial accounting perspective that can change that ... so 'the rivals' are blowing smoke our of their dung funnels ... furthermore, under 'connected party' tax rules it is likely that the credit (income) is non taxable ... as the waiver by Abramovic would not be tax deductible ... so Chelsea will actually be quids in ... sorry if that pisses on a few parades, but them's the rules
10 point gap on Pool is some margin to catch up on with 10 games to go Not impossible, but it's unlikely that either you or City will drop that many points
Game in hand then Liverpool City play each other. They'd have to win every game like but I think they still have a chance.
Unlikely imo. They also have a massive GD to overcome. Just can't see you or City dropping that many points tbh
Can Arsenal catch Chelsea ? There's only a 5 point difference there And we have to play each other still
You are probably right but Chelsea do have some momentum ... a lot depends on how the Citeh v Pool result affects both and, of course, injuries ... isn't TAA now out for the season?
I think he's done his Hammy, but not sure if he's out for the season. Probs just still traumatised after Martinelli torched him the other night. And yeah I agree that there's a siege mentality at Chelsea now, a bit like when a team go down to 10 men, they are digging in. The off field shenanigans doesn't seem to have affected their on field form, and I think they will fight for each other. I think they'll come up short in the end, simply because I don't see either Pool or City dropping enough points for the Chavs to catch them ... but you never know
Not sure I agree with the siege mentality bit tbh. Take yesterday for example, the players still flew to the game, stayed in the 5 star accommodation provided for them, flew home etc.etc. They will return to the 5 star training facilities Monday and still pick up there £250k’s a week. Not sure at what point that starts to become a siege!!
Well, when you put it like that. And yeah it not a siege mentality in the true sense of the meaning. No more than Boris comparing the Ukrainian fight for freedom to those who voted for Brexit
FA Cup Palace v Everton on ITV about to kick-off Can't decide who I want to win, so will just enjoy the game.
