No idea why you called me a clown. You've been reactionary and having a whinge about a top 6 side beating us. The first XI will be unrecognisable come August.
Not being the last man is the point. If he was it'd be a red and you obviously don't want that. The idea is to stop him before that. Again, Luton did it a few times in the first half. If they hadn't, KLP probably would have scored.
Eaves today was the perfect example of a striker playing well but getting no service. We put loads of balls in, and he got to a lot of them, but not one of them put him facing the goal and able to attack it, it was always behind him, making him take a touch and turn before getting a shot off. He's not bad at attacking a decent cross, but the quality of our balls into the box today was very poor.
The writing was on the wall in the first period of the game. We could not string 2 passes together with the ball often being booted aimlessly up field by a less than creative midfield. In our attack Longman was insignificant often is but at least he comes up on occassion with some thunderbolts We missed Fleming and his partnership with KLP who was our one player of class. People say Eaves had a good game but he had several chances that a better striker would have got in the back of the net.
No we weren't that bad, certainly no where near as bad as the moaning Minnie's around me made out. It was only for the last 10 minutes or so but I wonder ......Eaves needs someone playing alongside.....I thought Forss beside him looked a possible option
I assume we are trying to do this: The New Goal Kick rule change: A Primer (sportskeeda.com) but failing. It doesn't do my blood pressure any good at all.
Got to disagree with some of that SW. Bournemouth could have and should have been out of sight with the number of chances they created. We are not letting teams create anything like that amount now.
Those back to back wins at the end of Grant's tenure definitely coincided with the new owner bounce. It was a harsh sacking but completely agree that we don't give up the amount of chances we did previously.
On this evidence next season will be just as tough without major squad surgery. But I guess you already know that.
Yes, I agree re giving away the free kick but no other player would have had the vision to create the chance at the end which led to the goal.
Smallwood was the wrong player to be bringing off given we had no ball winning deep midfielder on the pitch on after that. Hudds fine but at least have Smallwood/Slater there next to him
Luton definitely weren’t nothing. We were the architects of our own downfall with the first 2 goals but Luton showed why they are where they are in the league. The difference in quality was always evident.
