This is a painful watch. Birmingham have missed 3 open goals. not enough intensity from us. We really lack a vocal leader in the team.
Been back home for 45 minutes. Only now ready to post. Dreadful performance - Birmingham could have scored 6 or 7, indeed they had better chances than Fulham! I sense that peoples’ patience is now wearing thin - very thin. We are pedestrian, no pace, no width and no real pattern apart from wanting to keep the ball at all costs - doing something with it doesn’t seem to have occurred to Russ. His excuse that we heard on the radio was that the players were tired having spent 21 hours on the coach travelling to and from Peterborough …… A bad defeat against the Welsh Cockneys and we could well hear - in the Derby County match - chanting similar to when Brad Bobley was in charge….. There were some boos at the end, it could be worse next time
Taff....I never want to see any person sacked. But Doc Martin has to go. It is just dire and I cannot see it improving one iota with him in charge.
Some terrible games to watch today, first Wales playing awful rugby then the Swans labouring to a point that wasn't deserved and finally dipping in and out of the test match watching Kraigg Braithwaite bat was like watching paint dry it made my what I thought was a really slow round of golf yesterday look positively speedy! So on we go Allez la France!
Hi 55 - that was our 37th Championship match: it could have been the first! My mate hit the nail on the head when he said that we looked like 11 individuals on the pitch rather than a team ….. If we start next season badly, I suspect that he will be on his way ….
Taff I take on board your comments but I would not give him this season. Bring a new manager in ASAP who can work and shape a solid squad in readiness for next season.
That was awful...yes no Patterson or Downes but this is supposed to be a squad of players that can cope with missing players. Excuses like 21 hours on a coach does not work sorry..these are not local charabangs but top of the range luxury coaches...perhaps he should look at the tactics which seem to be nothing more than keep balll and have high possession stats...no pace, very little forward movement, no leaders on the pitch, just going through the motions and boring the supporters to death...or was it a deliberate ploy to make the CCFC scouts think we are really crap....lucky for us Birmingham didn’t have their scoring boots on....luckily fo me the Azzurri won...
To be honest, I agree 100% with you. But, I don’t think the Yanks will make a change - unless, possibly Cardiff stuff us 4 or 5 nil
The Azzuri look as if they deserved it - they definitely needed it. Hopefully, Rob from Geog and my old ‘mate’ (NOT) Steve Phillips have the balls to show Pivac the door ….
No idea - but that’s what he said From Wales Online: “Martin says the blunt display fully exposed the lack of depth in Swansea's squad. "I didn't enjoy the game. We started OK and Hannes [Wolf] should score after a few minutes," he said. "We lacked a bit of zip and energy. The players have given everything they've got. I think there was a time we would have lost that game. "We've had 21 hours on the bus this week. We got back at 3am on Thursday. I'm pretty sure that explains today. We tried to guard against it. But it never got going. We didn't give the supporters enough to work off. "But we kept a clean sheet and on the whole, performance levels they've shown since then [against Sheffield United], the points we've gained, before today I've been really pleased with the group. It also shows the importance of having depth next season. We haven't got enough. It's something we need to address for next season. "I love the group of players we've got but we need a few specialists in certain areas. Nat [Nathanael Ogbeta] came on and showed some of the tools he's going to have for that wing-back position. We know what we need. We're not learning, it's reinforcing what we know. In terms of what we feel we need for the summer, it's been pretty set in stone for a while and we need to get working on it soon."
