WTF have i just missed never before have i not watched a complete Leeds match but i really thought we were going to get a mauling and just couldn't stand the pain. Sounds as though Cresswell played a blinder and the young keeper did well. in a way i am relieved i missed that with my heart condition, that's two matches in a row now, Marsch wtf are you doing, i don't know about the players on the treatment table, but our poor fans are cuing up outside A&E. I am a happy boy though
I was so close to turning it off with frustration myself but couldn’t bring myself to do it. It wasn’t pretty and tomorrow I’m going to be still wondering if it was real
Night all, I’ve got to work tomorrow, normally I’d feel ****ty about that but it feels fine now for some reason
Well, let’s agree to disagree. He was on a high after that as we all were. Seemed to me he was laughingly making the point that we had so many coming off injured he could barely remember who they were. Anyway, got lucky, back to back wins for the first time this season. Works for me
Morning all. Because we're Leeds there will be some dark days before the end of the season but that was a season defining performance in the 2nd half. As I said before I think Bill was the inspiration with his driving runs into the box, back to his best and with his finishing maybe we should play him up front. I agree about Struijk. I think Llorente was also poor before he went off. I think Koch should start but Cresswell has got to get more game time. He was caught a couple of times but over all it was a good performance. I think we're crying out for Philips to steady the ship in the middle. We were always very poor when he was missing so him coming back is going to be key. I think Cooper coming in for Struijk will help us too. He's better than many give him credit for. I'm not sure about Greenwood, maybe he was contributing without me noticing but he seemed to go missing a bit. I thought Klaesson was excellent, apart from his kicking. Great result out of a poor performance. I'll take another 2 of them.
Having slept on it. Absolutely delighted for the win and the much needed three points. That might be enough to keep us up. We are finally getting a few decisions and a bit of luck. However, this result shouldn't paper over the ever widening cracks. This team needs a complete overhaul. Last night was the worst performance I've seen for quite a while. Horrendous. The players just are not good enough and quite a few are too injury prone.
I've been reading Wolves' fans comments about the game. The turning point was the Jiminez sending off. They are saying that it looked bad at full speed but when you slowed it down it didn't - The ref doesn't get the replay. They are saying that VAR should have looked at it (even newspaper reporters) but they don't check yellows. They said that Lage was told by one of the officials afterwards that, even after seeing it in slow motion, it was the right decision. This person's response was that, in his opinion, the officials were wrong. IN HIS OPINION. My favourite of all though was someone who said it was a terrible decision but agreed that if Jiminez had got the ball Meslier would have been sent off for preventing a goal scoring opportunity! We can say how we feel about it because we've had loads of them go against us but the saltiness is crazy. They don't mention that Moutinho should have gone for his challenge on Dallas or that Meslier actually had to go off so it was reckless. It's not 50/50 if you get there 2nd.
Who's this new player we have called Rodrigo. Jesse has made him feel wanted and gave him some confidence.
Jiminez was a certain yellow. I don't understand anyone who says otherwise. It might not have been a yellow in the 80's. It was the easiest decision all night. I agree that if Jiminez got there first then Meslier would have received the yellow. Jiminez timed it wrong, it was obvious he wasn't getting there first and careered in to Meslier after the ball had gone causing injury (possible serious injury). It was late, it was reckless and resulted in another of our players going off injured. It was yellow at the very least by todays rules. Struijk against Liverpool was a good, solid tackle which turned in to a red card offence due to the injury. I'd say Jiminez was worse and more reckless. His first was yellow was over the ball and was a couple of inches away from serious injury. The tackle on Dallas was a red in the build up to the equiser and Willy Boly could have seen red for contact with the head first half. I agree with Connor Coady that the ref handed out some early bookings which kind of forced his hand in later decisions.
Looking forward I'm very positive about the future: Just for example and Doc will know much better. I was also very impressed with the frizzy haired U23 CB who played v Liverpool. I can't remember his name - Klaesson Drameh Cresswell Kenneh Hjelde Bate Jenkins Gray Summerville Gelhardt Greenwood
You don't need to go on the big one at Blackpool pleasure beach to get the nerves tingling!!!! What a ride that was, from being like a bunch of school kids in defence to clawing our way to a monumental three points I give mom to ayling I thought he showed typical Leeds fight and deservedly got the winner, had a big hand in the first To boot.....what the hell their keeper was doing for our second is anyone's guess(thought kiko was haunting him) if he'd had gone back on his line after James had hit the bar the resulting move probably wouldn't have materialised, but it doesn't alter the fact of at half time I feared another mauling and against a more clinical side we would have got one.also Marsch completely bamboozled wolves throwing greenwood on instead of joffy ...... big positive statement after the disappointment of the toffees result and a massive confidence boost for the players and fans..... I said mama we're all crazee now
One of my brothers is a Wolves fan, just been exchanging a few texts, not sure why but looking back at them,I'm the happier and more sarcastic out of the 2 .
