    Agree with that bottom three.

I think Everton are pretty safe after that win last night. If they'd lost that, given the slide they've been on they would have been in deep ****. But the games in hand they've got should see them pull away from that drop zone.

I've got to say, despite them losing last night. I like the way that Toon have saved themselves in the last few weeks. They looked every bit like relegation fodder, and folk were giving Munse pelters on the daily, but they've turned it around and Munse's WWF wrester gifs have me chuckling away lol

I'm really not sure Burnleys run in is definitely the easiest and Watford do pull the odd result out of nowhere. Newcastle have I think the second toughest run of the lot behind Everton, so not safe yet imo anyway.

I think Everton need a another result from West ham and Burnley before they're to be considered safe.

I haven't looked into where the 1.5 billion loan comes from but there are two parts.

Pre 2011, there was no FFP so roman could spend however much he wanted. Even post 2011, they staggered FFP so you could make losses e.g. in 2014 you could have losses of 45m (over a 3 year period i think)

Post 2011 FFP looks at club revenues vs club expenses, so there are things that do not count towards FFP calculations. So in theory, 100 of the club revenues could be offset against things like transfers and player wages whereas Roman can provide money for things like youth development, stadium costs and training grounds don't count towards FFP so he can plough as much money into these as he wants.

In your scenario, the Saudis can lend newcastle 100 billion to spend but they can't spend that loan buying players or using it on player wages.

I don't like them because the gaffer talks out of his arse.

He complains about "players diving, playacting" etc and then when his team do it (which they do) he turns a blind eye to it. They act hard and tough and definitely play dirtier and more cynical than most sides (not sure about recently havent watched them).

Yea, it's definitely that ginger whinger

My understanding is that Abramovich converted the directors loans he issued to the football club into equity, so the debt is his mate.

They can do what they like, but if the club P&L shows a loss of more than £103m over 3 years, then the club has breached PL rules.

Most don’t seem to understand how player purchases are accounted for in club accounts. The bottom line is, that Newcastle need to increase revenues over the next few years to cover the increased spending, if you spend like a CL club then you need to be in the CL.

Didn't realise there was league matches this weekend. Must just be the smaller clubs who aren't in cup.

The best result for us is obvs the home win, the football gods haven’t favoured Leeds so far, but long way to go.
