I’m struggling to wrap my head round how this isn’t over the line.

Apparently listening to the commentators who had seen the replays the shadow of the ball was on the line .. which by their rules is no goal.

you have to look from above - plus that may have been off the ground - plus the commentators said it wasn't a goal - and on top of all of that Cov can **** off

I think the angle of that picture makes it look over the line but there's a millimetre on the line

Imperious performance. Fantastic win. Although this is still mainly McCann’s team, Shota’s influence is maybe beginning to be felt because we look much more potent in attack. Some of our football was top drawer Premier League quality, which for a shoestring budget team says a lot for the heart, desire and skill of these players. Well done all!

Wasn't expecting that. Some really good football first half, and hung on well second half. Superb from Smallwood, Honeyman, back 3 and Ingram. And a good shift from Eaves. Nearly there.

There is no question that many of these players have such a lot of heart and a desire to wear the shirt. They have done very, very well in many areas and it’s great to see so many positive comments tonight.

Looked it in real time, but not in the replay. The kid was three feet up in the air before Docherty got near him ...

Well goal line technology says no goal, so that’s good enough for me. Sorry Coventry, **** happens, (not really sorry!)

Great overall performance, plenty of desire, blood, sweat on display, never gave up, proud to be a City supporter. Well done to Shota & squad, they’ll definitely know they’ve been in a game. Great result also for the away support, safe journey home. UTT.

Great result. Need to put this season to bed. Next season could be so different. Time for a late beer before bed.

One really noticeable feature of City's play was the positive approach - limited passing backwards or sideways and much quicker to move the ball forward to runners. So many times this season we've seen forward momentum lost and players receiving the ball while standing still. An excellent performance across the board.

Whether technically a goal or not it was a let off.

Even if it counted it wouldn't have changed the outcome or detract from an outstanding defensive performance.

Didn't understand the Slater sub. He'd just bust a gut for a clearance before his number went up.

That said probably the best performance of the season in the first half.

Credit to Shota who appears to be learning quickly.

    Outstanding from the lads!

    Roll on Luton.

Already home (some minimal benefits to living in Leicester). Great night. Expected to watch us trying to grind out a 0-0. You know when Smallwood scores it's going to be special.

Tired towards the end but great performance against an in form team.

See you all Saturday and let's make some noise.

Listerning to a caller on Radio Coventry on the way back. It went something like this. That was over the line, well, we are at the other end of the ground but it looked over the line to us.

    You couldn't make it up.
