So what's happening with all these confiscated yachts? Do the oligarchs get them back when sanctions end? Essentially the yacht become frozen assets like the bank accounts? Are they being sold off by the governments that collect them? If they're being sold, that has to be a bit of a poisoned chalice for any buyer. You know you can never park your yacht in a territory that is, or may become Russia-friendly in case you find your mega purchase is taken away from you to give back to the oligarch.
****in obscene innit. Nearly half of the world's population lives on less than $5 per day. And these ****s spend that amount 140,000 times over just to fill up their yacht.
Not to mention housing space. Dock some confiscated yachts next to a city and all of a sudden you have housing space for a lot of Ukrainian refugees.
Could probably adapt them to run on beetroot juice tbf Mind you, that's still a lot of ****ing beetroots...
No, but I usually fill my car when I get to a quarter tank left. So if I had a super yacht Is probably do the same. Don't want to be in the middle of the Atlantic 1000 miles from anywhere when that orange light comes on the dash. I don't think AA would send a tugboat out to tow me to the nearest filling station.
while i agree should point you spent that amount 800 times over on a push bike It is all relative mate .
If they were confiscated they could dispose of them as they wish. They're just classed as frozen assets at the moment is all. I'd let the squatters on board tbh.
Transporter is long gone mate. Now running a 3.0 V6 Touareg so it's out of the frying pan into the fire lol
We could load them with Ukrainians and leave them at Savastipol as a peace offering. As the Russians tuck into their Vodka rations everyone leaps out, opens the gates and takes the city.
