We are both on a run, albeit a loosing one. I perceive a difficult game. Whatever the outcome, we both seem to be heading to the Championship. More content to follow.
Since neither side can defend, I think 0-0 is unlikely. Unfortunately, Leeds can at least attack and we are facing a team in abysmal form, so along come Norwich.
Team news: Byram to be assessed tomorrow due to recent fatigue (hamstring risk) Zimmermann and Normann expected to train today Omobamidele (back) and Idah (knee) still out Gilmour available again
Let’s face it NCFC will be relegated at the end of the season. This game, along with the rest of the fixtures, have to played out with very little meaning. Perhaps Smith will use only those players who appear to be employed by NCFC at the beginning of next season? So, the likes of Normann, Kabak, Williams and Gilmour will probably leave. Any thoughts?
Personally, I don't think he will until relegation is mathematically certain. Bad PR to do otherwise. (That doesn't mean I wouldn't be in favour of doing this if we lose to Leeds on Sunday.)
It could be a good luck oman for you guys. Sam Byram came through our development, and played over 100 times for us.
Leeds have more to lose from this than us. They will be very fearful of a defeat. They are rapidly getting sucked into the fight. Brentford v Burnley today is going to be massive.
I think if we take that defeatists approach, by the end of the season it will be ingrained into the squad and we'll have virtually no chance of promotion next season, if we get relegated.
LAWRO'S PREDICTION I have a feeling Patrick Bamford will start this game for Leeds, which would be a huge boost for them because they have missed his goals so much. It's a massive game for Leeds because, if they lose, then you would start to think they are in real danger of going down. Norwich already are in deep trouble, of course. They have pulled a couple of surprise wins out of the bag under Dean Smith since the turn of the year, but I don't see another one here. Prediction: 2-0
Williams and Gilmour will probably play until we are mathematically relegated. Kabak and Normann it’s more of a balancing act - I don’t think either will manage to get another Premier League club next season. Their values will probably have dropped too. So it’s most likely they will return to their parent clubs, though there is always the chance we might cut a deal. I think Kabak is the bigger prospect if I am honest.
Normann played well before he got injured, but with the war, who knows if he has a club to go back to!?
Hoping for a miracle but expecting another soul destroying collapse again. If we get past 2 minutes without conceding a cheap goal that will be seen as progress. .
Brentford 1-0 in added time and Burnley has had Collins at CB sent off on a straight red card. 2-0 now as Brentford score the penalty resulting and that's the final score.
"Huge blow, late Leeds setback in clash against Norwich, Marsch will be gutted". Wow, fantastic I thought. Until I read the article. What caused this headline? Sam Byram MAY be fit for selection,
