Micky Horswill said (in the BCB last night) that the ex-players association had been invited along to last nights game and to meet the “owners” to discuss how they can help bring the club abs fans closer together. Be interesting to see what he meant by owners or if it was a poor turn of phrase.
I remember it....working in the office by torchlight and being issued with coupons for petrol. We got through it then,we'll get through it now.
It's quite funny really that they are doing all this work to try to get the fans back when really they just need to get shot of Madrox (apart from, heaven forbid, a team worthy of promotion from league one) . If we don't get promoted, a close season announcement that Madrox is gone is essential for morale and attendances, especially if we lose some players, which we might).
The things needed are to get rid of the two Madrox spivs, improve the playing side of the club (at the least competing for promotion a league higher) and improve the financial side of the club ie don’t waste money on **** players or make a poor fan base pay for it when the transfer and commercial side isn’t fit for purpose. Do them things - ie run the club well - and they won’t need much of this fan relationship stuff.
We could learn from these how to run the commercial side…I wonder if they improved service after SD sold up?
I'm not massively impressed with KLD tbh, but to be fair to the lad the share breakdown staying secret for as long as it did wasn't KLD's choice
Not starting a new thread for this, but noticed this today. Any thoughts? Instead of being a feeder club for Premier league clubs, we can be one for a French side.https://www.sunderlandecho.com/spor...m-doyle-fared-for-england-youth-sides-3629075
I don't think it is either, but I hope the club understands just how much things could collapse. I'm not sure that they do.
There has been a new bid to buy the club, but it looks like it will be rejected till 1st week of June. Different ball game then.
