That'll teach em to knock us out of the Cup.

It's a bit harsh on the supporters and club isn't it. I don't see why they can't just block access to any capital receipts by the owner and allow the club to continue trading. Basically if you haven't got a ticket for a game now then you ain't going.

First thing to say is I obviously don't know Chelsea's financial position but the following is said on an assumption. The only revenue that Chelsea can get currently would be their commercial money. If you take the owner out of the equation, how much per week is the wage bill at Chelsea. Is it more than they have in reserve for example because they cannot have any more from the owner. If it isn't then how are they going to pay wages to any of the employees never mind the players. It follows that if they can't pay wages then they will go into Admin like all the other clubs that have failed to pay up. In a way that's a forced Administration rather than a necessary one. But, they would have to be docked points and so on which again is a bit unfair because of the forced situation. I don't care about the owner and they can screw him for every penny he has if they can but to penalise the football club because of what has happened is a bit harsh. Hence my original thought that they should at least allow them to continue trading and just block out the owner being able to get any capital from it.

I've got nothing against Chelsea fans or the name Chelsea FC, but that is as far as my generosity goes, I have no sympathy with them whatsoever. They have traded for decades on dodgy money, paying obscene transfer fees, and obscene wages that the rest of English football could not compete with.

A lot of people seem to lack understanding of what a sanction means, it means you are frozen in time, everything is frozen in time, the football club and all it's financial aspects and ANY links connected previously with Roman Abramovich. Hence why Barclays have now suspended (temp measure) the account of Chelsea FC for yet further checks.

Any breach of these sanctions by someone like Barclays, despite what that daft bat Dorries says, could be subject to huge multi million pound fines. In short Chelsea are knackered, they are not even allowed to breath the smell of coffee coming from the canteen, because they don't have one bean to pay for it.

Why people constantly think these sanctions can be worked around is beyond me, unless someone changes the legal process, then explains that change to every financial institution. You can't.

Don't be fooled by all this Charity Foundation stuff, regardless of what company or dogs home it's come from, it's a smokescreen for Romans money, because it's all his money, one way or another that has gone into the charity pot. You can't circumnavigate the rules to fit the means.

Chelsea operated on money and assets that is now frozen, don't care how much the fans cry and disagree, frozen is frozen, everything lock, stock and smoking barrel.

You might not like that, you might disagree with it, but Chelsea are screwed, well and truly, and I look forward to meeting them in L1 in the very near future, I wonder how many plastics will stick around for that party, hopefully they will be able to afford party hats by then.

    I bid you all goodnight.

Is this the new ‘financial fair play’?
Certainly more effective and highlights that the club wouldn’t be able to support itself without a benefactor.
Just shows what we all know. Football is made a mockery of by finance and if you aren’t owned by a Sheik, Oligarch or billionaire then you’re fighting for the scraps.

That's be brutally honest here Roman did not buy Chelsea because he was a lifelong supporter, yes he was good for Chelsea but that's it. You could say the same about our owners they didn't come in & buy us because they were Wanderer supporters
