Chelsea's bank account suspended by Barclays <laugh>

Does this mean the bus can't even afford the fuel now, that's what happens when you go cashless. <whistle>

I think it's probably only a temp suspension, they probably want to check it's transactions, and what individuals access the account. Massive multi million pound fines for this sort of stuff if you get it wrong, think this was something implemented by the US after 9/11, although memory a bit sketchy on it all now.

Just reading about it now. Apparently Barclays want to examine the conditions of the licence that is allowing Chelsea to operate.

Chelsea at home Sunday, so will not need the bus. I guess the players will have to start taking their shirts home to wash themselves, I can see the players holding up begging cards to the fans, can we have our old shirts back.

How many million is stored in the sock drawer at the bridge? Enough petty cash to get them through Barclays investigation?

Fans may have to go without plastic flags this week... No electric score board or tannoy system if the power gets cut off.

Chelsea is cashless mate, so no petty cash or brown envelopes anymore, I did warn of the pitfalls of going cashless. Karma can be so funny.

sorry to disappoint you but the DCMS is going to let sale go through, UEFA are considering letting us keep prize money and also we should be able to sell tickets for home games (only 3 left to sell in Prem anyway)

If something is frozen due to sanctions how can the sale go through, there is nothing to sell. Despite all the charity foundation deflection, the club belongs to Roman, hence nowt can move. Once/IF sanctions in the distance future are lifted the club still belongs to Roman, nothing can happen with it, because as it stands he has no say in it. As for UEFA, they won't be tranferring any prize money to the Barclays account at the mo, it's suspended. <laugh>

    https://www.change.org/p/strip-chel...nder-roman-ambramovich-s-ownership-stop-putin

Roman Abramovich has been found by the UK government to have “received preferential treatment and concessions” from Putin's murderous Russian regime and through his business links been “involved in destabilising Ukraine, and undermining and threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty, and independence” of the eastern European country.

The Foreign Office has said he was implicated through the steel manufacturing and mining company Evraz plc, in which he had a significant shareholding and over which he exercised effective control. It said the firm may have supplied steel to the Russian military for the production of tanks.

PM Boris Johnson said, “We will be ruthless in pursuing those who ENABLE the killing of civilians, destruction of hospitals and illegal occupation of sovereign allies.”

Abramovich is one of those enablers.

As a result of these findings, Abramovich’s assets in the UK have now been frozen, one of which is Chelsea FC, which he has funded with billions of pounds since 2003, money which has now been found to have clear links to illicit and illegal actions.

On that basis and given the gravity of the slaughter of the innocents that continues each day in Ukraine, we demand that the Football Association, The Premier League and the UK Government immediately strip Chelsea FC of all trophies won under Abramovich's regime since it began in 2003.

A few second tier trophies aside, this will leave Chelsea FC with having won one league title, two second division titles and two Full Members Cups, which they paraded around a muddy old speedway track at Stamford Bridge, 60 metres away from the pitch.

Abramovich and Chelsea FC have been the Dick Dastardly and Muttley of English football for almost 20 years, one of them hiding in the shadows behind his cape, the other as the flea riddled scruffy dog that sniggered, as Putin's money continued to pull the strings and pay the massive salaries and bonuses.

They have now both run out of road and stripping them of their sports washed gained pots of silver, is simply the only moral road the authorities now have left to take.

Please sign our petition and share with all of those that care about the murder of innocent people and their right to democracy. If you tolerate this.......
