Quest is the only show I watch (listen too) these days, one or two of the regulars know what they are talking about, and pass on useful, informative information about the league we are in, George Elek is a rare gem. .
Off to ITV next season isn't it? Colin mite be on his way with them. I don't bother with match of the day anymore. Premier league if a rich man's game, the rest of us are fodder.
He said we are a big club, but he is sick of hearing we're a "Massive club". Personally I think he's a chebend. He has retired at 36 and would have walked here 2 years ago. He clearly has a chip on his shoulder. Probably wanted to play here in the past and got a big fat no.
Ahhh, they must talk about us at Sky behind the scenes, Dave Jones etc. Jamie was getting a sarnie from the vendor but didn't have 37 quid on him, so approached Dave and Clint to ask for a lend and overheard the lads saying how ginormous Sunderland are, upon hearing this he stormed out saying "Fack this, I'm gonna Greggs. Sky went live, still seething from the conversation and with a chicken bake pastry still on his teeth, proceeded to go mental, and unprofessionally went on a lads rant.
That show on sky is bizarre. I cant sit and watch people watching football in a studio. It used to be partly tolerable when the experts were the likes of Thompson and Nicholas. I watched some with my lad a fee weeks ago and it is now horrific. It was like a competition between Dawson amd Morrison to see who could squel or groan the loudest. Merson had a look of disdain for everyone around him. Then when they are asked to commentate on what they have just squealed in excitement about they do it with all kinds of hand gestures and body movements to mimic a cross into the box and a header. It is bloody bizarre. As for Mackie I wouldnt recognise him if he knocked on my front door.
Just another T wat who is sticking his nose into something he knows nothing about. Throughout his meaningless and rank average career he could only dream of playing for a club our size, regardless what league we were playing in.
Give the lad a break. He's an English Southerner who has had to pretend to be Scottish. It's no great surprise that he gets confused.
I hope Jamie Mackie isn't planning on watching the highlights on Quest, Alex Neil has said "I think we deserved to win the game", he'll be f%%kin furious when he hears that.
