lol that is true, the lefties have a proper fit on here. I don't vote as you know but if i did vote (i probably might cause Boris is so corrupt ironically) it'd probably be labour. At the same time, Tory actually helps me out and is definitely a better fit for all my family so even though i hate this incarnation of Tories, it's actually not something that annoys me too much
I'd take Bobby cos he's a good lad (apart from being **** at mafia games). The rest can **** off though!
They just ripped your club from its sugar daddy hands, roman straight up got jacked by the tories. Id be pissed
I think Starmer caused a fuss about it in the Commons, then he suddenly shut up, as though, ah right, I can see where this is going. Bit weird at the time.
yeah but: 1. still don't know what will happen to chelsea 2. admittedly the tories have done this but the old classic it would probably be worse under labour seeing keir starmer instigated all this 3. Am i really going to complain when the tories will make me richer than if i was under labour. Hence, i wouldn't really get to angry if tories get voted in even though i prefer anyone but them (not ukip)
Oh yes please. If boris can **** the country up so brilliantly im sure it would only take him a few weeks completely ruin the chavs for good. I approve
yea but knowing boris, he would be getting backhanders from roman, letting roman put more money in the club and then denying all evidence, give a cheeky smile, make a joke about keir starmer and it'll be business as usual
Abramovich sanctions: Chelsea fans have acted as PR bots for Roman Abramovich and Vladimir Putin Matthew Syed Thursday March 10 2022, 5.00pm, The Times In the long history of useful idiocy, and the way in which self-righteous people unwittingly act on behalf of tyrants and dictators, a chapter should be devoted to Chelsea fans. A phalanx of this pitiful demographic has, over the past 20 years, acted as an unpaid army of PR bots for Roman Abramovich and, by implication, Vladimir Putin and his punitive kleptocracy, a tale that we should not overlook on a watershed day for sport. For years, I have watched in a state of amazement at how seemingly rational human beings, with social media profiles saying such things as “loving husband”, have sought to sportswash the reputation of a man who amassed his wealth by swindling the Russian people out of their mineral inheritance in cahoots with a corrupt political class, as his QC admitted in open court. I have watched as they have attacked anyone who dared to question his motives, point to the source of his riches, or examine the context in which this dubious story was allowed to unfold. Worse, they sought to consistently distract from how Abramovich’s success in laundering his money sent an unmistakable signal to Putin and his gang that they could continue to plunder riches from the Russian people, safe in the knowledge that it could be recycled in London. Nothing did more to cement the complex web of lucrative quid pro quos that sustained Putin in power or added momentum to the horrific journey that led first to Georgia, then Crimea and today the deaths and injuries on the streets and in the maternity hospitals of Ukraine. please log in to view this image Chelsea fans still lionising Abramovich from the stands are being laughed at by the Kremlin And yet even as the scales started to fall from the eyes of most British people over recent weeks, and the political pressure for sanctions started to ratchet up, Chelsea fans continued to engage in disinformation, seemingly unaware of how they were being laughed at by the Kremlin. When Chelsea played Burnley last week, and there was a minute’s silence for the victims in Ukraine, a critical mass of fans chanted the name of their owner — an occasion when useful idiocy shaded into shameful imbecilism. I know that some people will say that we should give leeway to any group of fans backing their owner. It’s football after all. But while I heartily agree that sport is a blessed distraction from real life, I would also suggest that we should never allow ourselves to be treated as fools. It is an act of blatant self-harm to allow tyrants to use the cultural cachet of sport to reset the world in their interests and against ours. This is the truth that Chelsea fans have conveniently ignored for so long as participants in a mass exercise of cognitive dissonance. And it is not just Chelsea fans. When it comes to the willingness to genuflect before autocrats, we should also acknowledge the starring role of the Premier League, Fifa, Uefa, the IOC and, indeed, the British government, which welcomed dirty Russian money, not least into the coffers of the Tory party. The likes of David Cameron thought that the UK would benefit from its role in state-sanctioned money laundering even as this shameful episode was weakening our norms, values and strategic alliances. America warned for years that our collusion with Russia was making a mockery of sanctions. But let us return to Chelsea, for it isn’t just their fans who are covered in shame today; it is also the sportswriters who acted as de facto mouthpieces for the club, the TV commentators who pretended Abramovich was a benign benefactor, the Match of the Day pundits who never adequately placed into context what was unfolding. I should say loud and clear that some Chelsea fans were against Abramovich’s ownership from the start and they were joined by courageous others as time went on. This tiny group can today reflect on how their love for Chelsea didn’t blind them to how the club was being pimped out, nor how the trophies and triumphs were irredeemably tainted. The Chelsea bots, even now, proclaim that Abramovich brought them glory. The truth is that he only ever brought them — and English football — shame. please log in to view this image
The catastrophe appears to have gone over the players heads as it's BAU against Norwich... be some frustrated ****ers on here tonight
Careful about the Tory knocking, yep **** ups have been made, massive ones but just think what would have happened if Jezza,Johnny Mc & Diabbo were elected ? We’d have been out of NATO and helping Ukraine with Laser guided catapult’s…… there has been ****ups with refugees but what was the credible alternative in 2019…..
You were on 10 trophies total when Roman walked in we’d already won 8 FA Cups by then won’t count all the other little pots n kettles we collected in the other competitions
Something that might be relevant if Roman was taking money out of the club but i always got the general impression he was pumping it in.
