pre diabetic, so found loads of 0-2% sugar in it soup, biscuits etc don't miss chocolate and luckily carlsberg 7.5 beer has no sugar in it ! it dissolves in the beer making process, so no sweets etc but at least i can have a drink. want an exercise bike though.

Rule 473 subsection (ix..) revised , states clearly that chocolate hobknobs may be allowed in circumstances deemed necessary.
Trick is to have willpower to reduce intake - eliminate by cold turkey and your brain is virtually hardwired to crave until you break and demolish a packet

Cheers mate. To be honest, I never really took notice I was putting weight on. Untill one day my 40inch trousers were getting tight, I though "f$$k this" and stated to cut down. I got lazy, finish work at 10, Chinese on the way home 3, 4 nights a week and before I knew it I was very heavy.

I found the 5/2 diet worked for me. I always made sure my 2 diet days were the days I went swimming. These days I don’t bother - to close to clogg popping time to restrict myself.

Team RH fitness are fantastic mind. I’ve been with them 6 months and she’d almost 2 stone. Need another 1 and a bit off.. the great thing is, it’s a monthly subscription and you can get all the information and courses and stuff to help you get to where you need without subscribing for longer than a month.

Calorie deficit is the way forward. Eat less than you burn in a normal day.

If I do last that long I’ll probably be deaf and blind (all ready well on the way for those two), unable to move without some 20 stone carer pushing and pulling me. Eurgh! No ta! And then we would be relegated the first season! Just joking - I’m not really that pessimistic, just supported this club for too long.

Why bother with these fitness apps whatever they may be, just get out for a walk/bike ride/swim.

Low Carb diets definitely work. You can lose whatever you want, it WILL work and pretty quick too. They're hard to start with, first couple of weeks, but after that all of your cravings for sugar and bread will go. You're never hungry either, can eat as much fat as you want and loads of protein and veg too. Bacon, eggs, butter, steak, butchers sausages etc etc. Not that hard to stick to once you're into it. Keto diet.

If you want to turbo charge the weight loss you go low carb and add in some intermittent fasting. I never eat before 5 PM mon to fri and I'll do a 5 day fast every couple of month. Fasting is one of the healthiest things you can do, gives your body a chance to recover from the modern lifestyle.

The thing I find hardest is keeping away from beer, which is rammed full of carbs. I don't like short drinks so a good trick I found helps is to drink double whiskeys in a pint glass topped all the way up with soda water. Actually, really refreshing if you like the taste of whisky, and feels like your having a pint. Can be swapped out with vodka or rum or whatever, ney carbs in any of them.

    Just my experience.
