St David’s Day here in cymru , leek pancakes for tea ! See that leceister is an all chase card , i assume the hurdles track is unraceable again , even the chase course is soft !
14:25 Leicester - Leverock Lass (This lovely mare (trainer's words!) makes the trip down from the Northumberland yard of Tim Reed for this Class-5 Handicap Chase. Harry Reed on board for his father's stable. Handicapper has given mare a chance in this event. Breeding on sire and damsire sides suggest she could be well-suited to distance and almost-certain soft (maybe heavy?) going. 15/2 best price in most places at time of writing. At this price usual E/W best option)
Catterick 1.00 Getaway Bay An improver last summer and lightly raced for a 10 year old. Yard who has been amongst the winners recently can ready one after a break. Stable does well for each way purposes at Catterick and Lilly Pinchin is an interesting jockey booking for this female jockey event.
Morning Interesting race at Chantilly today [2.36] for first time racing filly's, and should throw up some nice prospects But will take a chance on a horse from a smaller yard Licorne Each Way @ 19-2 [5 places] Bet 365
Should know better after today's miserable effort, but, although Schalke will be difficult to beat in the last at Catterick (15:50), I'll take a chance with Lady Bowes. Malinas mare is very consistent and might well run a good race in this finale for the day. 7/2 best price at time of writing, available in several places.
Well, Lady Bowes my dear, you've got to jump 'em, that's the name of the game! Bit shocked by the fall. Schalke won it OK, but it was not easy for the horse. More importantly, hope Lady Bowes and rider are unhurt and return home safely.
