He is Irish but lives in Finland and is onside with the Russian view including viewing Ukrain being a haven for neo Nazis .
It looks like Ukraine have won the first battle of Kharkiv after it went street to street fighting. Russians struggling way more than they'll have ever expected.
Seems to be a difference in heart between the 2 sets of conscripts. The Russian belief in what they’re doing there is thin imo. Unlikely to have been a factor Putin thought would be significant. If it’s shared across the spectrum, then over time it’ll be key.
The videos I see, when Ukrainians interact with Russian soldiers on the ground, I just feel, like theres nothing there from the Russians. The "put the sunflower seeds in your pocket" was a "please go away" When the tank was out of fuel and the Ukrainian Said "I can give you a ride... to Moscow" the soldiers laughed. Think your onto something personally. They dont want to be there. Theyre getting battered ontop of that with dated gear.
I need to be more observant, I actually remember watching this interview, I saw the guy at the back and did think he was trying not to laugh but I never worked out what was funny until now...
There doesn't seem to be any appetite for it in Russia outside of the Kremlin. Loads of ordinary Russians have friends and family in Ukraine and vice versa. Soldiers will do what they are told to do, but if it drags on and civilians start getting slaughtered en mass. I can see Russian military morale being sapped further and further
quite a lot of Russians support the actions in the Donbass area at least and you aren't seeing interviews etc from there and that is where the fiercest fighting is taking place .
Posted a link to this the other day. It's a really useful news portal that sources stories from 4000 news agencies. Then gives you a breakdown of political bias, accuracy, media ownership etc Really useful for getting a wide range of opinions around one story and understanding any bias. https://ground.news/
When I heard that earlier, with the words "nuclear deterrent" being thrown in by him I genuinely thought this is a worry.
EU to close airspace to all Russian planes and all Kremlin backed media to be banned. https://news.sky.com/story/ukraine-...-planes-and-ban-kremlin-backed-media-12553502
Bully boy tactics. Question I have is would China sit back and let him start launching Nukes at us, I'd have a guess China have a lot to lose by letting him do so, such as multi billion pound exports by what would be destroying the economy as we know it and destroying all trading relations, we are probably talking trillions. We just need to be sure our side of the fence keeps cool heads. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2...e-are-signs-it-is-uneasy-about-putins-methods
