A ground down here in Melbourne has ends of the ground named after different people depending on who's playing at the ground, so they could always do that?
If the name of the stand was done using led's it could be switched from one name to another depending on who's playing.
I agree wouldn't have an issue with it at all. You just know they'll be up in arms about a stand being named after a City legend though
Nah fuxk em the scummy black n white ****s let the sainted Adam **** off and build his stadium like he threatens to do
So do I, but this isn’t about Hull FC, it’s about a great Hullensian who was a superb sportsman and a credit to the sport he graced, to local sport generally and to the city of Hull.
So if true an absolutely brilliant gesture by the new owners has to turn into an argument about City and FC.
I think it's shameful to be honest. Didn't realise there was a Leeds one but saw the Liverpool one being advertised by the Hull City OSC bizarrely. I'd rather see such an event run out of town.
The Johnny Whitely stand is a great idea, personally think he deserves more recognition in the city because of what he contributed to both rugby clubs.
