No other manager in the world would hang on to his job after conceding 20 in 5 matches.
    This seasons been shambolic.

Phil Hay is writing like he's gone a bit strange. He might know more than us but you don't write this if do you.

If this is true I can see lots of tears inside the boardroom tonight. Everyone wanted Bielsa to succeed but this run of form needs stopping.

I will shed a few tears myself because Bielsa is a brilliant, honourable man, but due to him being on the spectrum he is stubborn and refuses to change his mind.

    • Small squad is a joke in this league
    • Small squad has trashed a fantastic U23 season too due to best players needed for first team.
    • Not bringing in the midfielder we needed when the Cuisance deal collapsed 3 windows ago.
    • Insisting that Roberts is better than Gelhardt when plain facts and stats say otherwise
    • Insisting that injury cover can be done by moving over half the team into square pegs, when obvious better players from the 23s were on the bench.
    • Todays best team was when Rodrigo moved up top and Koch moved into CB and James took over from Harrison.
    • Insisting Dan James went to No9 and leaving Spains No9 on the bench or not using Gelhardt.
Its been too frustrating this season because its felt wrong every game

If true, it's a very, very sad day. Unfortunately there are just too many things we don't know to be able to know what has really gone wrong.

Did MB have any money to spend?

Did MB really have the final say on players? If so, he must take some of the blame for the players brought in, especially no midfield backup.

Did the "no plan B" or playing players in odd positions or the appearance of having favourites lose the players? If the poor performances are down to "player power" then I hope the plotters break their legs and never play again. Harsh maybe, but if you're paid to do a job you get on and ****ing do it to the best of your ability - ALWAYS.

Did MB really not have a plan B or be too stubborn to consider it?

    Are the players over-trained?

I'm sure there are many things we'll never really be sure about but I do know he gave us a ****ing incredible first season back in the PL and I doubt we'll ever see his like again.

    Thank you Marcelo

It is just so strange as I know we need change but I've never felt so sad about a coach leaving, he is probably the most caring genuine and humble coach we have ever had

Was just thinking down the lines of wondering how much his honesty and integrity may have cost him, we never see players, surrounding the ref, gesticulating for penalties etc, they just get on with things, all on his instructions. Honesty isn't the best policy, we can all look at the decisions the top 6 get to see that for ourselves.

The story of day one, making the players litter pick so they know what a days wages feel like or the cost of watching them play. I just wish we had a few more points on the board so he could have left at the end of the season but like you, I'm not convinced about the new guy but the position we are in, who could we have realistically got

He gets a few games to save the season and prove himself, I want to say it can't be any worse than the last 5 games but I simply dare not

Good point Gessa, I was watching Everton earlier and they never stopped complaining to the ref. I was thinking to myself, our players never complain, no matter how crazy the decision.

If Jesse Merche is the new guy I hope he had a good excuse for his short time at Leipzig where he only had a 38% win ratio. His time at RB Salzburg was a fantastic 68% and he was there for a couple of years and before that in the States he had a very good 50%

He llays a firm of Bielsaball and high press, so should be easy for the players to adapt
