Have Tottenham been good or have we been ****? Wasn’t expecting a win but a good of performance and reaction from midweek would have been nice. Hearing Ayling and Meslier particularly poor?
I'm not a fan of booing the players off but the fact the fans have supported the squad through this season seems to have led to complacency in the players that these performances are acceptable. The recent performances have not been acceptable. There has been a lack of fight in the players recently and they need a kick up the arse. Hopefully the fans giving them a bit of stick for the first time might shock them in to life. Especially Firpo the lazy ****e. ****ing atrocious effort levels recently.
Straw that broke the camels back I reckon... Leeds have pressed to get back in it since the Spurs third went in, but they are booed off at the break.
I'm actually looking forward to the championship now, get a manager who can change games when needs must, get the players he wants, keep the best of what we've got and rebuild and come back better prepared Plus we'll get a ticket for the games.
Spurs haven't needed to be good. They've capitalised on our poor defending and been clinical. Once they went two up they set up defensively and are trying to hit us on the break which they did for the third. As for us...we've looked better since Spurs dropped back and hit the post, Struijk should have scored from an early corner, Ayling had another chance bit our crossing has been woeful. When we do put a cross in to a dangerous area there is nobody to put it away. Far too easy for Spurs who are pretty woeful themselves. They do have Kane, Son and the new lad on the right. We have nobody. Piss poor and the fans boo the team off at half time.
