OK, so I'm getting a little carried away. But this thread isn't for the negative thoughts - it's for the positive ones. And it's only a dream at the moment. There's obviously a lot that needs to happen for it to become reality. But why not? I massively regret not going to Milan and I really hope I get another opportunity to go to a Saints match abroad. So come on Ralph, come on Saints. Bring the special times back!
I don't for one moment expect it to happen. But I guess we do still have two shots at it. Not sure which is the most/least likely - via the league (which probably means getting 7th), or winning the FA Cup. (PS. I haven't looked into it, but I do wonder if 7th would be prevented from qualifying in the event that Leicester were to win the Conference League.)
Realistically it's not gonna happen via the league this season as it would require a ridiculous run and we're bound to have another bad patch. Only 4 wins in the cup though...
Well Spurs, Wolves & Wet Spam aren't that far away, so we can dream In the cup if we beat Wet Spam then 4 of the other 7 games will result in teams we can expect to beat and/or have beaten recently The other 3 are probably Liverpool, Chelsea & Man City and if we can avoid them until the Final we get into Europe without winning and we might be able to beat them in a one-off game anyway The Spammers are spluttering recently and play 2 days after us this weekend, I didn't see any injuries yesterday, except Tino was doing stretches some of the time, but Perraud is back anyway Milan was brilliant, we all deserve another one of those including you Tom
Losing cup finalists don't get a euro spot anymore, we were the first beneficiaries I believe in 14/15. As much as I'd like to avoid City and Liverpool we'd definitely have more chance of beating them in a quarter rather than the final.
