Just heard that two of the Russian markets are down 37% and 42% which is unheard of. Their major bank is worth 50% less. I think the people will be asking questions very soon?

Fair play to Starmer. His address was really good. <applause>

He was good at PMQs yesterday, too. Even when Johnson threw out a pathetic taunt about Labour being funded by the Chinese Communist Party, he wouldn't sink to his level. He's a grown up.

    Number 1
    Roman Abramovitch.

Just seen a clip of Putin’s speech. He pretty much explicitly threatened nuclear attack on anyone who gets in his way.

Sorry @rangercol , he is nuts. He doesn’t let people within 20 feet of him, he rants for hours about weird alternative history on TV….he’s boxing himself into a corner. He’s destroyed the Russian economy in a day, it’s just a question of how much damage he does before his regime collapses and they shoot him.

I'm sorry Col but the blokes totally off his rocker, **** knows what sort of damage could be caused to everywhere in Europe if radioactive material is unleashed into the atmosphere. We should just send in an SAS unit to eliminate him

Why the **** would you want to take control of a destroyed nuclear facility? That's such a bizarre move, even for Putin. Surely he's got enough uranium without risking mining the stuff that's left over from the accident?

At 6;00 pm today (Greenwich) I caught on the news what was supposed to be Boris talking about a UK response to this invasion and he outlined a number of steps that the government would follow beginning with sanctions and extending down to and including military action. I am not a peace activist but surely Boris has reviewed this sort of action with the rest of at least NATO. Do I have this wrong?

And oh yeah, by the way - Chelsea need a new owner

Biden laughs and smirks through press conference while Ukrainians are being murdered. His carers have a better handle in international affairs than he does.

I was impressed with Johnson and Starmer in Parliament this pm. Rising to the occasion. Now they must follow through with their promises.

Yep. I'm afraid he's starting to look like he's more mad than bad.

    Getting very scary now.
