I think there is a real lack of leadership and direction on the pitch. This so-called "Captain" is the biggest coward I've seen in a Sunderland shirt since Jack Rodwell. Can anyone explain what he brings to the team?
The likes of Cirkin and Doyle are crying out for a rest but for some reason the HC can't or won't drop them. I love Cirkin but the kid looks terrified with the ball at his feet whereas Doyle has the arrogance to think he's Ruben Dias but without the skills to carry it off. His brains are scrambled right now

The imbalanced team selection didn't help either. 1 winger, 2 strikers, a No.10 and 2 CMs meant we had precious little width. The defence is horrific and needs a hell of a lot of work. Almost every goal we concede is a straight ball between/over the CBs or between the CB and the FB. Positionally we are terrible

When it was going on for so long (the CPR) I did wonder if there was any hope of bring the person back. Seemingly they couldn't and that is bloody tragic

When the renewals are due, some ask or think about whether or not to renew :emoticon-0112-wonde

In my case, like RAW and Smug (above), and some others in our little village, it isn't even a question . . . . this is always my priority and I will renew as soon as I receive the letters (4 season tickets in my house).

Whether or not that makes me daft/stupid/foolish is irrelevant to me . . . . I'll still do it :emoticon-0148-yes:

Pretty certain we'll renew (x2) but I cannot guarantee I'll make every game. It's just no fun any more.

  7. This! It's the complete lack of confidence, players just wanting rid of the ball, using hit and hope balls rather than any build up play. I know Alex Neil needs time, but he doesn't seem to have any impact so far. He's somehow got to get these players playing a quicker tempo, pass and move,up the pitch in triangles kind of game, in a system they trust. He's got to get more solidity into the defence....it looks so vulnerable more or less every time the opposition attack them.
He has a real job on his hands if we are to be spared another disaster season.I really hope he's up to it.....we haven't seen anything yet.

I left at 25 past 8. It went on too long for me tbh and because of the time taken trying to help the person I feared the worst. I was certain the game would be cancelled because of it and I just wanted to get home to my family.

Totally agree. That was scarily bad last night and makes a complete mockery of the philosophy and model and how we can change head coaches seamlessly. The amount of aimless, long balls was absolutely pathetic. Its cowards football. If you are going to lose at least play football the right way. Doyle has gone from playing the ball between lines to just launching it. Last night was an embarrassment. Its two games but Neil already looks a bad choice for me. Not the coach for our new structure and not the right guy to make the most of the players we have

Got a massive task to turn it round. There has been a regression and thats not normal when a new man comes in. Players have went backwards. It's no different to Dodds and Proctor and that's the lowest it can get.

Has to get a clear identify and quick.

I would watch/support Sunderland in the Northern League Smug. I am gutted at our predicament but they have been in my blood for 60 years and nothing will change that.

No it does not make you silly... you do what is right for you.

For me, when I watch the lads live, if we play badly and lose I get depressed. If this goes for several games, I wonder why I bother cos coming away from the match I feel bloody awful. So there comes a point when I do not want to put myself through that experience again and again.

Having said all that I will probably renew my SC, but not go anymore this season.

Not sure what that makes me?

I like playing golf, but when the weather is awful I give it a miss. However some of the lads, rain, hail, snow, wind will still turn out and say they enjoy it.

Having said that the weather is not too great at the moment but I am going to drag the g'kids out for a walk.

    Confused? I am.

I think Neil's problem is he is looking at what he has to play with and doesn't have a clue what he's supposed to do, he's changed tactics and formation and selections yet we are still getting the same outcome, I bet he's sitting thinking I wish Keane had taken this ****ing job
