Mcloughlin, barely made a mistake, and didn't get bullied unlike others Slater, only midfielder who consistently wanted the ball, created our best chance and utterly outshone honeyman, doc and smallwood Err, Bernard, maybe.
Cartwright Greaves Honeyman for not giving up/in and for setting an example, even though he was not up to his usual standard.
Slater Cartwright Mcloughlin. It seems rather an unfortunate title for this thread for this game, and there weren't any in truth.
Cartwright, just because. A long way back, but Honeyman, he chased everything, but came up with shadows, the only outfield player worth anything at the moment.
I just listened to Baz Cooper's summary of the game, and one thing he said was the sponsors gave the MOTM to Honeyman, he was bemused by that and much as I was.
Cartwright - couldn't do much about either goal, both of which where down to poor defending and those aside he looked promising. Greaves - made some errors but looked classey and comfortable on the ball on enough occasions to elevate his performance above the rest of the defence. Slater - Process of elimination - the least bad of everyone else.
Cartwright. Nobody else deserves a mention except for Smallwood for taking off the Captains armband when subbed and throwing it to the floor. He should be relieved of the captaincy.
Greaves. i thought he was by far our best player Mcloughlin gave his all Cartwright did well given the circumstances Special mention for fleming, smallwood, honeyman , bernard and smith for worst displays of the season.
