He'll come out and say it was misinterpreted and he was disappointed as captain at how the team performed and the match was going... Shota even reached for his ****ing hand to slap it as he came off...
As good a player that Huddlestone is but more specifically was,do you seriously think he's got 90 minutes football in him, especially on sodden pitches? To me and it might be unpopular,Huddlestone is a half hour luxury cameo player...He hasn't got the legs, stamina or pace to protect us anymore!!! If you're relying on Huddlestone to pull us out of the mire that we seem to be drifting towards then you have more faith than me!
Those same players beat Swansea, Bournemouth, Blackburn lost by 1 goal to Fulham, held Sheffield Utd and QPR to draws so they can play. It was the tactics that were crap tonight and that is down to the coach.he has so many of them playing out of position or in unfamiliar roles then can’t figure why it doesn’t work.
Hard on Cartwright too. Feel sorry for the kid. No chance with either goal, actually thought he did pretty well with all the capitulation ahead of him
It's not the formation, it really isn't. We need to player with more intensity, move the ball quicker and actually starting finding feet instead of just hoofing it and hoping.
It seems that every team we've played recently have tricky (often black) wide midfielders who keep possession, draw players in and create problems. We've somehow got into a groove of playing a bunch of deep-lying midfield hoofers looking for the Hollywood pass to a non-existent forward line.
Looked very assured and made a great save at 0-0 to deny Barnsley. Think some are just very angry with the performance, and quite rightly, but that doesn't mean the whole team needs to be tarred with the same brush.
Win on Saturday it will be 8 points from 8 which is survival form. Survival, that's the aim of the season with the current squad.
It's the manner of the performances against some of the lower sides though which is really worrying. We were poor against PNE, awful against Derby and so much worse tonight. We don't look like scoring
exactly, Shota's formation was wrong, 4-2-3-1 was never going to work & most of us could see that at 7.45pm. We've picked up results finally playing 3-5-2 under McCann so why change that ? Don't blame the players if they are forced into an unfamiliar formation that leaves massive gaps in midfield & offers no service to the forwards. The manager has to take responsibility for that
In Slater's defence, his through ball to Smith was gorgeous. It was a simple chance and he should have squared it to KLP for a tap in
