When I went to work in Leeds first lass I chatted up lived in Beeston. Getting back from there to Chapel Allerton with no money for a taxi was an experience. Middleton was god awful. Had a flat for a while in Harehills and you could see the area deteriorating by the week, though it was apparently a decent place until the 1950s.
Actually it was all sewn up - forgive the pun , the prof was German , but what is true is that only one British Uni has spent with us in 8 years yet we’ve sold 100+ systems to almost every other country inc Germany / but the Brits constant buy German in our field - yet we fund so many graduates from British Uni’s . There’s no drive in this country to keep money in the country and keep ours employed - ask the bankers - rant over
Bruce and Junior weaving their magic at West Brom - 1 point out of 12 now - this seasons record inc Newcastle, 4 points out of 36 - really don't know why he bothers, I can only assume he's mollycoddling Junior trying to get him into management - there's not many people who can say, I played in the Premier League, because of my dad, I played in a cup final, because of my dad, I played in Europe, because of my dad and now, I'm a coach at West Brom, because of my dad - at least he can say, I kept the bench warm at Wigan and Kilmarnock all by myself
People would’ve loved him back, if he can’t get results with that WBA team how **** would we have been
I said it before but my theory as to why Bruce took the WBA job was so that Junior had a springboard for his coaching career, under daddy’s supervision. It’s not like he needs the money or stress. The people who wanted him back here after McCann left are utterly deluded.
At least he’ll have his spineless Man Utd mates on Sky, TalkSport and BT defending him. No doubt it will be the West Brom fans’ fault and they should cut him some slack because he’s ‘a nice bloke with a family’
Harsh, but true. Signed by Daddy at Birmingham - "the team were relegated to the Championship, and it was felt that accusations of nepotism were hindering his progress, so it was decided that, in the best interests of club, manager and player, Bruce should pursue his career away from his father's management" After 85 appearances in five years and then leaving city in 2017 he made a further six appearances in two years before heading to Kilmarnock.
Let's not forget though that Shota was trying to sign Vato, his nephew, but he wouldn't get a work permit so that was shelved.
Nepotism happens in football all the time. Grant signed all ex players in his first transfer window. If work permit was known to be an issue, it was never in the pipeline
