What happened to the Millwall fans who hit people on the head with seats? 22City fans ended up being charged. How many Millwall fans felt the not so long arm of the law?
Should have told them you were covering your face because you were self-identifying as a Muslim woman.
I'll bear that in mind(your size) should the 'Green Street Elite' visit in the near future. As for throwing things,it was a popular practice up here.Coins,nuts,bolts,washers,ballbearings.If you went to a Rangers v Celtic(either stadium)one side would throw from their terracing, the other would throw everything back.If you went to Aberdeen everything came back minus the coins...Miserable bastards them Aberdonians!!
I was at that game, I thought it was appalling and still do. Why are you trying to excuse cretins behaviour by passing the buck to the police response? They certainly didn't chuck the seats, although they shouldn't have charged the few that retaliated to the aggression started by Milwall and let Milwall off Scott free.
Look.In all honesty you're no different from any other parent,we are all responsible for our kids, they are the most protected things in our lives,we'd die for them and you're right to have concerns about their safety,no-one can question that...We absolutely don't want bottles and flairs becoming part of the game again.I go to games with my youngest who's 30 years old,I still feel responsible and wouldn't want his Glaswegian Mothers wrath if something were to happen while away with me..It's being a parent,it's natural and it's right!!I I remember taking my 2 youngest to a Celtic v Rangers game at Parkhead, one was 10 the other 6.....Never again!!!! Cost me a fortune the little twats
it doesn't matter that much if there's a 500% increase in arrests, what's more important is conviction rates. Keep 'em peeled, and if you're a victim of crime at least you're assured of a crime report number.
There's a massive difference. I have a 3 year old daughter I want to start taking to City, she's already obsessed with football and she wants to come with me. She's too little at the moment, but when I do take her, I don't want her first match to be marred with violence, seeing that kind of thing even from a distance can be frightening to a kid, even if I explain that it's just people being stupid. It might have been part of everyday life back in the 70s, but it's 2022, we don't want to go backwards and start tolerating it or normalising it. Kick the ****ers out, kick out anybody else who is stupid enough to fight at a football match and let em whinge about it in the pub on their own while we enjoy the game.
Who's saying tolerate it,normalize it,don't kick it out? More chance of witnessing violence in Asda, especially when the 'whoops' **** goes out.
You've missed out the part where I said 'if you didn't want to get involved you didn't ' 'no difference nowadays'...Are you just dissecting the post and tailoring it to suit your narrative? Read my post where I mention our duty in life to protect our children...
From what I've heard of the 70s, away games anyway, it was pretty much impossible not to get involved whether you wanted to or not. Everyone was a target
