London locking down because of a bit wind. This is the kinda weather us up north just grab a coat on the way out. ****s.
What makes me laugh, is the red and amber warnings SKY News are putting out. Yesterday areas that were amber are today red, but when you check the BBC weather it's still predicting the exact same wind speeds. So how does that work then, unless the BBC haven't updated their forecasts since yesterday, but according to the time stamps they have.
They’re rubbish with the extreme weather predictions During our snowy periods I always look at the Met forecasts…whenever they’ve predicted snow, I know for a fact it won’t be snowing.
I've got an app for a local weather station about 3 miles down the road from here. Wind is currently 64mph Biggest gust was 82mph That's increased a bit in the last half hour, so maybe the peak hasn't arrived yet
I will do. Will get there Sunday morning now so it's not made much difference on grand scheme of things, that was always first day on slopes.
