I really thought he’d give into their premier league antics last night but he did ever so well. Every chance they had they surrounded him.
Listened to the whing fest on Radio Sheff, tonight. Loads of blubbering Blunts. Some of whom sounded a few coins short of a shilling. 'Hull wasted time. The ref was terrible etc..etc..' At least we admit it when we're not good enough.
Fleming has made that left back position his own as far as I’m concerned. He’s been outstanding, as last night demonstrated him and KLP are on the same wavelength.
We were talking about that at the match last night, Keane and Brandon must’ve been playing together regularly since they were about 10. Greavesy too.
I really hope we continue to see good players coming out of our Academy. Love to see the local lads doing well.
Odd though it sounds, I think Fleming's really benefitted from those two long injury lay-offs. He's obviously had to spend a lot of time in the gym and he's got much stronger and quicker, he looks a completely different player.
I know KLP and Fleming are getting to be a double act like Clucas and Robertson did but at the moment I don’t see much communication between Longman and Coyle or whoever - maybe it’s a youth thing - if they do talk it would really improve things - this is a view from E7 over recent weeks
You asked if I was watching the same game as you because you referred to one chance that Forss had, I thought you were referring to a different one. Simple case of crossed wires.
This problem again tonight. Our first choice midfield is so poor on the ball and it spreads throughout the team. Ridiculous number of bad touches and passes tonight. Looking at Walsh in the 20 minutes he had he looked like a pro amongst amateurs in terms of his touch and passing, same as Huddlestone always does. Until we can find room for some players with more quality in midfield I can't see how we'll stop having games like tonight.
I couldn't agree more, that is where our biggest problem is, the midfield at the moment stops most attacks happening, but we have no one who can receive the ball from the backline, move it forward without losing possession, and find a pass into the forwards. That is why the backline on the whole lump it forward, to give them time to get out, or the ball just comes back to them. Even when they lump it forward it generally comes straight back, but at least they get a minutes respite.
