You’re coming across as being a **** for the sake of it. I had no problem with Barmby being sacked if the owners wanted to, that’s football, but he deserved the same respect that the Allams would expect for themselves and they discarded him like unwanted garbage just for speaking his mind.
I responded to a post you quoted me from. It was a notification I received. It's mid-morning here and I'm having a coffee while I chuckle at your ****e. What's your excuse? Shouldn't you be asleep by now?
You can think the Allams are ****s in general and that Barmby was unprofessional by airing dirty laundry in public, which led to his sacking. They’re not mutually-exclusive.
Nobody is stopping anyone from contributing, you're coming across as arrogant and ignorant. This idiotic attack of anyone who tries to see both sides of an argument during the Allams tenure is getting boring!!! Contribute,Discuss,brilliant...
I'm happy to discuss, perhaps having Urika not question why I'm discussing would be more constructive? Comments such as "Is there nothing on TV?" or suggesting I'm reigniting some old debate as if it currently isn't being discussed by multiple posters seems to be quite exclusionary of me for no other reason than clearly he doesn't like me. As you said, play the post not the man. As you do in your first paragraph..
Barmby claimed he had not had funds made available to him in January, the Allams called him a liar. One or the other is right, and as we made no signings, I find it harder to believe that Barmby was lying.
I'd like to see Barmby have a role, but I'd like to see coaches in coaching positions who actually want a career in professional coaching. Barmby could have had a coaching career anywhere but chose not to. He could be useful in and around the academy, maybe doing the rounds of the schools (if they still do that stuff these days) on the engagement, recruitment, coaching kids side of things....
"The comments concerned were wholly misleading and implied that the board had not made funds available to Nick to strengthen the first-team squad during the January transfer window. This is completely untrue. "The board consider the comments made by Nick unjustifiably cast public doubt on the honesty and integrity of the board and its members." https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/17927073 How dare he cast doubt on their integrity by making simple comments that any manager would make when frustrated at having their hands tied behind their back during the window. I don't think he was unprofessional at all for making those comments.
Probably were funds available, just didn't think his targets were good value investments and vetoed his recruitment. .
That's guesswork though isn't it? We signed one of his targets, Jakupovic, very soon after he left, so they can't all have been poor investments?
