Don't think that's the way to run a business Oh and I really wouldn't want Donald and Methven to walk away with a profit from their mismanagement of the club.
But that's the whole point isn't it, none of us know the in's and outs of the details, nor do we need to in my opinion. A lot of people are just venting their frustrations at recent events.
Neither is what we are seeing and if it continues there won't be a business left to run. I would gladly see them turn a profit to get out of my club so we can get back to behaving properly and seeing the fans as an asset rather than a liability and inconvenience to the spivs.
We will have to agree to disagree as I really don't want Donald to profit. Don't want him to make a huge loss either. There must be a price that can be agreed that achieves the object of getting Donald out of our club.
Donald and salmon pants need to sell their holdings. Could a fans organisation buy Methven 5%? Or be gifted them if KLD bought them?
I agree, these two "spivs" as they are referred to, took a gamble when no one else would touch the club with a barge pole. What they are accused of is superficial and fuelled by media gloating at our predicament, just listen to last nights Total Sport for confirmation of this. Support the club now, and not the wreckers, give KLD the support and time he needs to see his objectives realised, the alternative is unthinkable imo.
Thank **** for that . . . . we shouldn't get the usual RAWA arrogance cos they think that they (and they alone) represent us fans
That will depend on whether KLD is perceived to be the victim or one of the perpetrators in all of this. If his reasoning was to deceive and enable the charlatans he is no better than them and has been brought in to the club to divert the unwanted hate the two tossers were getting. I hope this is not the case, I hope he is a victim(as much as a billionaire can be). I fear the worst though and that is has been an active piece in the bullshit puzzle that is SAFC. I am sure RAWA will make the correct choice based upon the information they are given. One thing is clear, KLD needs to stop protecting Donald and MEthven and start to protect his own interests and the relationship he has with the fans. I think he needs to look long and hard at himself and look to draw a line under this episode by making sure they walk away from the club ASAP, pay them for their shares FFS! If not we will never emerge from their shadow.
WHO IS MARTIN CANNING? Along with a new Head Coach, Sunderland also have a new assistant manager in Martin Canning. A former Hamilton Academical player and coach, we spoke to Accies expert Andy who tells us what to expect from Canning... What did Canning achieve during his time at Hamilton, first as a player? Martin Canning joined Accies in September 2008 in a team that had already won promotion to the SPL under Billy Reid, but it was a team that mostly avoided relegation for the time they were there. After Alex Neil replaced Reid as manager, Accies’ playing style became much more dynamic and Canning was part of the team that beat Hibs to win the 2013-14 play-off and gain promotion to the Premiership. Canning became manager of Hamilton after Alex Neil joined Norwich. How did he do as a coach? After only a few months in the top flight, during which time they beat Celtic and Aberdeen, Neil moved to Norwich and Canning took over. His managerial record wasn’t great, but it was a team that regularly fought against relegation. Canning won a relegation play-off, and had some impressive wins, including against the likes of Rangers and Aberdeen. Fans weren’t happy, really, from the start. While most rated Canzo as a player, his managerial reign started badly and pretty much continued in that vein. A side which was top of the league avoided relegation that first season, for example. What style of play did he like to use? Other than under Alex Neil, Accies’ style has never been particularly attacking other than the First Division-winning season under Billy Reid, but you can only use the resources you have. Accies are a tiny club with no money - their stay in the top flight is nothing short of remarkable. What type of man-manager is Canning? Can players expect the hairdryer treatment, or an arm round the shoulder? Alex Neil is renowned for his man-management, so he’s more likely to deal with that sort of thing, while Canning will probably be more involved with training. He was a defender as a player. Can we expect Martin to help make our leaky backline more solid? Hamilton’s defensive record under Canning was horrendous, but that’s something that Alex Neil will be more likely to solve. What are your thoughts on the pair? Good luck to them both, and to Sunderland. It’s a tremendous opportunity for both and a first time working together. They’re two of the nicest people I’ve ever met in football, and if Neil replicates his style at Accies, you’re in for a real treat.
They weren’t the only ones. They were Shorts preferred. There were others Short wouldn’t consider. Probably because these were daft enough to avoid DD. Trying to throw us off for a profit before the play offs showed them for the opportunists they are. That said I agree with your sentiments about KLD
Nothing cheap about going to football matches home and away. All those thousands supporting the lads, meanwhile the charlatans in full fleece mode, I'd dare say they actually despise us, makes me sick in the fcuking stomach. Why would anybody who had any love or passion for the club put it's unbelievable supporters in such a position. Pure fcuking greed by a pair of amateurs. Rant over.
