    Lingfield
    15,20 Frenchy Du Large 3/1

Perhaps too much weight but looking for the hat-trick, up in trip, stable on form (9-38 last 14 days) and Charlie Deutsch on board.

    Hello, everyone.

I'll start with a bit of housekeeping. The 4 - 5 lbs ratings reduction I was looking for, re Sky Pirate, has not materialised. It seems the handicapper was wise to what connections were up to at the weekend, either that or he is one of my regular readers, and instead he has been lowered just a single pound (to 156). Now not as attractively perched as I had been expecting. One who it has to be said is is Lieutenant Henderson's Impulsive One raised just 3 lbs (to 130) following his Scottish Triumph hurdle blitz. That looks quite attractive and will the Boodles/Fred Winter be next??? Other notables are Bravemansgame up 5lbs to 164 and Broomfield Burg left alone on 134 - if the great man can teach him to settle surely he can win a very big handicap off this mark.

Meanwhile, what about the penultimate Pertemps Qualifier (Haydock, Saturday). Anything interesting contained within the 26 entries??? My initial thoughts. Great to see Wholestone back (after 455 days). Tamar Bridge is interesting. The Lieutenant has another go at getting Mill Green (related to the legendary Barbers Shops) qualified.

    Good luck all.
