We have never been prolific at scoring goals and even last season which was great most of our wins were by the odd goal. Let’s suppose Kalvin is back sooner rather than later, we are without Patrick for the rest of the season, where are our goals going to come from?
Klich completed 15 passes, he gave possession away 9 times, he lost 5 out of 6 duels. We all know this is Klich and in the PL he is a gamble, far too many performances like this and let’s not even look at Roberts stats. Sitting on the bench was Forshaw, playing for the opposition was Van De Beek who Bielsa deemed not better than what we had, he wouldn’t suit our style of play. I can take defeats and Raphinha having an off day but it’s decisions like these from Bielsa I find hard to swallow
next level??? And which great genius will get us there? Ahead of us you have the traditional top 6. Newcastle billions next year. Established West ham and leicester. An under performing Everton who have been in top flight for 100 years. but of course we are Leeds and we should be beating these teams comfortably every week. If bielsa wasn't so **** we'd be playing last 16 champions league next week. With a fear inducing midfield of donny van de beek and Harry winks. They're the players to take us to this famous next level?? FFS give your head a shake. I'll give you 1 thing, de beek is 100 times better than winks. So is my granny
Regarding Van de Beek (a player who who I was singing the praises of in early January) we've no idea what actually happened. Was he really offered to Leeds and if so at what loan fee and wages + maybe bonuses etc ? It's far too simplistic to just say we turned him down.
I'd still be questioning why players can't control a ball this season or play a 10 yard pass. I'll say it again. Its not Bielsa, it's the players. Last season was very good, especially the last few games. This season the standards from the players has been atrocious. The system works, the players are letting the club down. The only ones that offer consistent performances needed at this level are Meslier, Struijk and Phillips. The rest are open to offers as far as I'm concerned.
I must have missed bielsa's qoute where he said de beek wouldn't fit our style of play. In fact I must have missed all his quotes about him.
When you see stats that everyone has a bad game, what do people think? That it’s some massive coincidence they have bad games together? It happens because: - maybe the team is leggy not fully recovered - the opposition have our number as a team that day - likely tactical - creating pressure forcing mistakes. Or a combination of the two which is likely what happened yesterday. we often struggle to pass our way past high pressing teams and often require a physical advantage to win those 1 v 1 duels. we don’t have the option to rotate the squad - and with bielsa likely wouldn’t anyway When the machine breaks down, it makes everybody look ****. another factor yesterday… it was a big game for Everton - first home league game under ****hard and a 6 pointer. They fed off the crowd energy and got an early goal.
This is a big problem. We have no natural goalscorers at the club and I include the 23s and 18s in that. The closest thing is Max Dean and he misses his fair share. The only natural goalscorer we have had under Bielsa was Nketiah but we didn’t really play him. Harrison has stopped scoring, Klich can't get around as much, Rapha has a bloated record with free kicks and penalties, Bamford hasn't played, James only has 4, Rodrigo doesn't hit the net 10 times a season, Roberts is Roberts and Gelhardt doesn't look like the messiah that alot of fans expect him to be. Summerville scores for fun for the 23s but won't get in the side. We are a side with no goals.
Good morning everyone from the forum in Wythenshawe manchester. I have been roped in to take my cousin to a U. K. A dance event.
I'd be thinking - there's a lot of work to do here, but as Bielsa has been here for 4 years, I'd be asking why he he doesn't learn by his mistakes week after week, and how after 4 years the World renounced coach hasn't made the team more capable of defending set pieces.
Only what I have read on numerous sources including The Athletic and Leeds Live - Leeds were offered Van De Beek and Harry Winks, Orta took it to Bielsa offering him one or the other and he said no to both. A Leeds spokesperson said "it is pointless signing players Bielsa does not want". This would strongly suggest it has nothing to do with fees and finances. I'm open minded to Bielsa staying or leaving, I really am between a rock and a hard place but being there is allowing me to sit on the fence and look at both sides. Those that won't hear anything said against Bielsa will say they don't believe it, they'll claim it must be true and those who want him out will think otherwise. I personally have little doubt that it is genuine, I truly believe Bielsa turned them down, by now Phil Hay would have been saying it isn't true but he is actually backing up the story and we all know he only states the obvious after it has bolted
where is the gold digging 49ers cash, the aussie on board supposed to be wadded, radz not exactly a pauper.....in that case forget any dreams of europe/top 6 because you won't see anyone without the readies being at the top table...so unless they start to dig deep or sheikh waddy al wadded takes a liking we are mid table at best and on yesterday's displays bottom 6 or worse
No I don't believe it was true that Leeds could have had De beek on loan, the board approved and bielsa didn't want him
Well we were offered him mid January, Bielsa said no as we were chasing Aaronson. On deadline day Everton moved in for him. If you choose not to believe this I'll just respect your decision
I asked yesterday about why he hadn't won more for a top coach. One I don't think supposed big clubs in any league would put up with him, secondly would he himself want the scrutiny .
