I've got to be honest....I'm not sure why Boro and Wycombe are chasing Derby....they lost out coz of the failure of the EFL to control and penalise DCFC in a timely manner. Had they done so, Wycombe would have stayed up and, the season before, Boro might have had a chance to get promoted. Wycombe have a better chance than Boro I would have thought.......they would certainly have stayed up......Boro had to win the playoffs and only lost out on gate monies for the playoffs for certain.
That's a very fair point Furter - in particular with reference to Wycombe. Though I've got no sympathy for Derby, it was the failure of the EFL in delaying the Derby points deduction that sent Wycombe down not Derby FC themselves. The problem for Wycombe in legally tackling the EFL is it would be like holding a peashooter to the head of someone holding an AR15.
Hopefully they'll be down by then, but look who that last game is against. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60289177
I think you're right and they'll be long gone by then (unless the EFL give them the points back) but would we really want to be the ones to send them down? Damn right.
Sounds like Morris has managed to convince Boro to take him to court rather than Direby to get the new ownership bid through. Wonder if Wycombe will alter to the same stance…
Looking forward to a nice, clean win for Boro tomorrow. If Sol or Pelts were to get on and score the winner (unlikely in Pelts' case I know) so much the better.
Looking at the table and the 0-0 between Posh & Otis, Derby surely look like they’ll get above them both.
I think they should be deducted a further 12 points for the extra month they were given. Any truth that they've bid for the Winter Olympics in May 2026?
Sorry Nin. I only now noticed the "Otis" reference. I have to say that I find talking about the greatest soul singer of all time in connection with those cheating Royals (not Andrew et al) somewhat hard to handle. More respect needed or at least try a little tenderness.

Cheers Nin. The man was and remains my musical hero. I was just 12 when my older sister took me to see him at the Capitol in Cardiff. Otis, Sam and Dave, Eddie Floyd all on the same bill! I was never the same afterwards.
First concert I saw was also at the Capitol but it was Marmalade who’d just reached no 1 with Obladi Oblada - I was 8!
How do you get a duck to sing soul? Put it in the microwave until its bill withers. Aint no sunshine when shes gone.....
