My issue isn’t that we aren’t getting Roy Keane, it’s that I have absolutely no faith in them getting someone better.

Everything that I’ve heard over the last few days points to Speakman being massively out of his depth.

Emotion aside man, its took us 11 days and two devastating defeats to get a ****ing "no". Speakman needs sacking

See the edited post. Just because someone doesn't have success in one role doesn't make them a failure or a bad coach.

Should have just kept Johnson, Flanagan and sorted the damn pitch out.

I'd have loved Keane to come back purely after the first stint and how well everyone responded to him and the way he took the club forward.

However I have said before, getting someone to come in who wanted to prove themselves and grow with the club is they way we should have gone before appointing LJ. Morris seems to be someone who would fit that profile, good reputation in the game and working with young players would probably need some experience along side him but I'd be happy with that instead of another dinosaur or someone on the managerial merry go round.

Mind it would be better not doing it towards the end of a season!!

Totally agree with this, however, I'll wait to be impressed. I've/we've been invested instantly in new managers over the years and been let down. So, good luck the new bloke whomever it is.

Shaking my head here, us fans have whipped ourselves into a frenzy over the Keane thing, we have listened to ITK info and got carried away. The ITK guys are doing there best with the info they get BUT things can change very quickly, I negotiate for a living and things that I've seen go wrong at the last second never cease to amaze me.
We have fans tearing the club we are all supposed to love to pieces, KLD, the board, Speakman and anyone else that comes to mind because we may not get our choice, which is based on sentimentality in any case. It saddens me that as fans we are getting to the point of making huge assumptions in order to pillory the club and anyone in charge of or employed by it.
I realise things are bad, I couldn't be more gutted about the way the season has gone, I would also sentimentally have liked Keane to get the job but I for one am not going to make huge assumptions about things I cannot know anything concrete about and tear SAFC to bits for it.

I'll never be done with SAFC, I may get disappointed (regularly), I may be angry, I may think things could or should have been managed better but I will always keep the faith in my club.

ike I posted over there mate, there is such a void between Keane and the candidates mentioned I feel sick. I dont know why as I shoukd have expected this club to royally **** it up. They need to pull a rabbit out of the that and that isnt McCann, Neil or Lennon

I was told at the time by a Birmingham Season Ticket holder than Speakman is a fraud, dined out off the Bellingham development when it was numerous coaches involved. Birmingham hated him and were pleased he was leaving. Why we have put so much faith in him is absolutely insane and therefore KLD needs to take a look at himself aswell.

I have also heard that LJ had a big barnie with the ownership group / Speakman regarding the January window. This was from a top class individual within one of the best ran clubs in the world BTW.

This club is an absolute shambles from the ownership, to the key decision makers to the coaching staff.

100% this. If you aren't going to improve on what you 've got then why change things?

    ****ing shambles.

Really? You're calling us a rank average side? The same rank average side who went up as Champions?
Remind me, how long have you been down there?

IF that's the case we are better off without Keane.

I wasn't for Keane but can see why people wanted him.

You couldn't even beat us. By default that makes you a rank average side. Taking cast-offs from a small club like you makes us small-time

Didn't particularly want Keane, don't want the other options either. Hope we pull a rabbit out of the hat but I fear such an appointment will take another 2 weeks minimum.

    Why can’t Speakman be sacked?

He’s not an owner, he’s an employee.
