I love Warnock but he'd be the wrong man for us right now. We should have appointed him instead of Grayson. Not a chance we would have gone down that season
Pass me the bastard saw. All that time with Keane wanting to come and it falls through during the night. Piss off.
Have you heard anything?
Pass me the bastard saw. All that time with Keane wanting to come and it falls through during the night. Piss off.
I’m holding off getting too annoyed at Speakman until we find out why Frankly if Keane is the one who has changed his mind last night then **** him. We are Sunderland supporters - not Keane supporters. If he doesn’t want to manage us, for whatever reason - **** him.
If you were Neil or McCann and you had any sense of pride you'd knock us back as well. 2nd choice, not particularly wanted by the fans. You'd be on a hiding to nothing. Also those saying Edwards or Manning. They obviously aren't under consideration as they are both in work and there would have been reports about us making an approach to the relevant club.
There has to be a reason he's walked away - whether it's money, club structure or meddling from within. The club has to be held accountable for this.
Happens though mate. Bit the mags big time with Emry. They were so confident they let it out to the press. There will be a lot of lashing out now and a blame game. Regardless of what actually happened People will blame who they want to blame
Although it can't be argued that's its not been a ****show, it sounds to me like they have negotiated to death with Keane to try to get him and just cant agree. I just wish they'd got to this position a week ago if that was the inevitable outcome.
Morris could be a good shout. Highly rated coach at all levels. He'd need an experienced number 2 to help with the transition to being the Head coach

Keane have these jokers nearly 2 weeks of his time. Suitable terms but speakman has to be the all mighty. Done.
I blame myself for getting excited. I was giddy as hell on Friday - Defoe was back, Keane on his way and we were going to smash Doncaster ****ing sick right now. Every time we are at our lowest ebb we find a way to sink ****ing lower
Not sure there “has” to be… I agree its likely though But we currently don’t even have one side of the story, let alone both sides. We have decided to put on a pedastal the guy who didn’t want to live in the north east the last time he was here. If the club have put their foot down and said they want him to live in the north east and he’s said no then I’m pretty pleased with them, frankly
Yeah im not overly enthusiastic about bringing him in either at 72 years old. I just don't think he should be criticised from his spell at Boro though because i know how the fans round here think of him. Id have loved it if we'd have managed to get Chris Wilder in who replaced him when he was linked with us a couple of seasons ago.

I agree if it was longer term, but if the board are now effectively lost at sea and don't really want any of them then Warnock would be a great choice to see this season through , simply get us organised, so they can widen search ready for the summer.
