Oh and a shout out for Elyounoussi too. I thought it was his best game in a Saints shirt last night.

That annoyed me as well. I guess it’s because we look ridiculous if the flag doesn’t go up (see: Man City)

Oh and footnote; what a knob Conte is. I’m not really sure what kicked-off on the touch line after the apparent legal assault on Broja for their goal but unless someone bitch slapped Conte, his actions were ridiculous, more becoming of a teenage brat (sorry teenagers). Had to be said, Done!

Conte said physically his players gave 120%, but were too emotional. He can include himself in his assessment.

Actually looked real class to me on the MOTD. Lets hope he keeps his place and performance too.

Yes but the same technique failed badly against Man City. Fine margins but a good tactic until someone works it out.

It failed once. It has succeeded a lot more times. The attacker has to time his run to absolute perfection.

Funny you should bring this up. Up to that point I could perceive from his commentary that he was already increasingly fawning about Spurs. It's that annoying tone of almost deference when one of 'their' teams (ie big 6), start to knock a few passes about and even when the realise that the other team is a)actually on the park and, b)can actually play football, there is still a 'hope' that normal service can be resumed! Maybe I'm a bit sensitive on this but I remember years ago Barry Davies drooling over a game in which we were being put to the sword, almost had a delight in commentating on the sight of the destruction of a team costing less than a tenth of the winning team, it was either v Liverpool or MU at their height. I switched off and never listened again to any of his commentaries, whatever the match.

I think Dark and Hoddle on BT are in a league of their own but also any commentary that includes either Keown or Alan Smith has me apoplectic from the off.

It doesn't actually make sense. I know the pundits, presenters and commentators know the interest around Big Five and - current rather tenuous guest club - Spurs, collectively essentially pay their ridiculously high wages.

But in a match featuring a big boy (Spurs) vs a pleb team (us), most viewers will want the ragged and misshapen plebeians to win; as the vast majority viewers will be made up of supporters other than Spurs', wanting them to fall flat on their faces. Especially if followers of the competing fat cats make up a lion's share the footie watching audience. The media-set never cotton on to this.

The guy commentating along side Ekoku last night, was also as you described Jonathan Piercing - although Efan was called upon to inform him and the viewers about the little known opposition. Infact, Ekoku was rather the antidote, and very complimentary; he's learned to love us.

Antonio ****e made a real fool of himself last night. A massive embarrassment to Spurs.

Not really, spurs are already an embarrassment with bottling everything.

This is made even better by the fact that it is being played out to the backdrop of their incredibly creative fans bellowing our *our* song

Agreed! It was literally music to my ears and so fitting… Was disappointed to see that they only showed about the last four passes before the goal on MOTD. They also made no mention of it.
I’m still finding it hard to believe we won last night and I’m black and blue from pinching myself all day. Credit to each and every player and Ralph for one of the best games I’ve ever seen my team play. Made all the more sweeter that it was against Spurs. Bring on Man Ure. COYS!
